Hello, and Welcome! My name is Cindy and I am the founder and creator of Edith & Evelyn!
I grew up in a very small Southwest Missouri town, a rural community, surrounded with miles and miles of farm land. I was raised by a very strong, savvy mama that was widowed at an early age, leaving her to raise me and my older brother alone and on a tight budget. Edith was a creator, a picker, and a DIYer way before it was cool or trendy. She knew how to create a beautiful home from vintage finds and castoffs, getting the look she wanted without spending a lot of money. Mama scoured yard sales, flea markets, estate sales, and anyplace else she could find, looking for beautiful pieces, at bargain prices, to decorate our small home. If she found treasures that needed repairs, she could do it, and she would magically turn some of the most down trodden pieces into things of beauty! Though her talents were born of necessity, Edith had an amazing, creative eye for transforming trash into treasure. She knew how to “get the look” with minimal cost, and had a beautiful, comfortable style. My love of vintage and antiques comes from her. She taught me the art of “picking” and creating at a very young age, and showed me how to create a beautiful home, no matter the budget, using vintage and antique pieces. She was one of the strongest, most amazing, resilient women I’ve ever known. If Edith were here today, her style would probably be called Farmhouse or Cottage style…..though she did like a little “fancy” thrown in here and there!
At the age of 25, I moved to the deep South, and instantly fell in love with it’s people, food, culture, and traditions. It was there that I met my wonderful husband and my second mama in this story…..Evelyn. My mother in law was a gentle, petite lady with bright red hair, and always dressed to “the nines”. Evelyn was what my mama called a “fancy lady”, and she didn’t mean that in a negative way. They got along famously, and though they had very little in common, they were instant friends the moment they met. Evelyn, a true Southern lady, loved beautiful things…..french furniture, fine china, crystal, silver, and pearls. She was a collector of many beautiful things and could never get rid of anything. She had a formal living room filled with French Provincial furniture, and a dining room filled with gorgeous antique pieces for entertaining. Evelyn never walked out of the house without looking like she was going to high tea, wearing several strands of pearls, and always matching shoes and handbag. She was indeed a fancy, stylish Southern lady. She loved me like her own, and I her. Evelyn’s style definitely leaned toward the French Provincial style.
Both of these beautiful women heavily influenced and inspired my passion for decorating with vintage and antique pieces, and my love of french furniture. When I began my antique business in early 2011, I felt it was only fitting to honor Edith & Evelyn by naming it after them, and so Edith & Evelyn Vintage was born. I have spent so many years thrifting at antique markets, and finding those one of a kind treasures that make a home unique. Buying and selling vintage and antique pieces for E&E Vintage is a way to feed my passion, but also pass those beauties on to others to create their own beautiful homes. I curate our selection very carefully, only offering pieces that truly reflect my own style, or as I like to say, the E&E style!
When I first started blogging, I wrote more about the thrifting, antique markets, and the antique beauties that were heading into the E&E shop. And then, several years ago, the blog evolved into something completely different and unexpected, when I wrote about the home renovation of our new {vintage} home, and how we were designing and decorating each room. We had purchased a beautiful, but sadly neglected, 1970’s French Country home in the same little town that I grew up in. Slowly, but steadily, we completely renovated the entire home one room at a time. My husband and I did all the renovations ourselves and blogged about the process along the way. With each room, we incorporated vintage and antique pieces that creataed a layered, “collected over time” look. In early 2020, my husband and I followed the whispers in our heart, sold our home, and moved back South to the Panhandle area of Alabama/Florida. It’s closer to our children and the South has always felt like home. At the end of 2021, we found our perfect home in Fairhope, Alabama! Fairhope is one of the most charming Southern cities you will find and we love it here!
My style is what I like to call Vintage French Chateau, with a bit of Farmhouse thrown in here and there. I love to mix several different decorating styles, channeling my inner Edith & Evelyn, mixing opposites like the gilt of a chandelier dripping in crystals, with a chair upholstered in burlap or an old grain sack.
Opposites do attract, and can be perfect together….just like Edith & Evelyn.
Thank you so much for following along on my journey!
Cheers,
Cindy
Where did you find the Stars and Stripes fabric for your flag chair
Hi Connie! I purchased the fabric from Amazon. The links to the specific fabric are in the post: https://edithandevelynvintage.com/american-flag-french-chair/
I live in Nashville and my friend from Fairhope showed me a piece of furniture she got from you. I want to achieve the same color and finish on a piece I have. Could I send the picture and you tell me what to use? And do you ship your paint, etc.? Look forward to hearing from you! Love your work! Joyce McMahan
Hi Joyce! Absolutely….send your pics to edithandevelyn@gmail.com. All of the paint used in our furniture projects are from Pure & Original. You car order online and they will ship directly to your home! Here’s the link to their site: http://www.pureoriginalusa.com/online-store/Classico-c22593197
Very touching. So happy u had such fine relationships with both women! To honour them both with your business name is so wonderful.
It’s a cold, rainy day here in Santa Barbara, California today, but your story warmed my heart, Cindy, and your idea to panel my bathroom inspired me. You seem like such a loving and grateful person who sees the beautiful in people and things. Never change. Peace and love. Shelley
Shelly, thank you so much for your sweet comment. You have made my day! ❤️

Hello. I just found your site. I found a great Sacred heart domed glass pendant yesterday. I would like to know more about it. I find them all different prices so I’m not sure if the value. It’s Victorian I’m sure. Is there a way I could send you a couple pictures and if possible let me know what I have? Thanks. Judy Gaylord
Hi Judy! Yes, send pictures to edithandevelyn@gmail.com
Cindy, would you please check that I made it over to the new site. I’ve followed you for a number of years and don’t want to lose you now❣️
Done! Thank you so much!
Aww. I eloped to Fairhope.. then eventually moved my family there. I no longer live in the area, but think about it often.
Hi Cindy, I too love mixing opposites and I love your Edith & Evelyn style that evolved from the styles of those two important ladies in your life, what a beautiful story! Please subscribe me!

Hola! Todos los enlaces a los productos se enumeran en las publicaciones!
Cindy. Thanks so much for sharing your story. I enjoyed reading about your then and now life. You have a beautiful style that I love!
Thank you so much, Janet!
Wow! What a beautiful dedication to the two influences in your life. I loved reading your story and more so, I love that you continue to carry Edith and Evelyn’s memory in everything you do. Old is beautiful but French Old is definitely awesome.
I just bought a condo and being a DUY person, I’m trying to do most of the aesthetic renovations myself. Looking at your pictures gives me so many ideas and for that I thank you. You are an amazing designer and I enjoy your site very much.
Keep it up, dear Cindy!
Thank you so much, Lilly!
Hello Cindy, I read your post about your love for Louis XV’s child’s chairs. I have one so I write to see if you may be interested to buy it. It’s a ‘slipper chair’ armless child’s chair, (which to my understanding were designed and used by wealthy French ladies for their dressing rooms for getting dressed), the frame is carved wood with rose tapestry faux-fur velvet both front and back. Please let me know if it may be of interest abd I’m happy to send you photographs.
Warmly
Wendy Dent
Hi Wendy! Please send pictures to edithandevelyn@gmail.com!
Hi Cindy,
I love your story for naming your company. What inspiring women you were blessed to have in your life.
May God continue to bless you.
Connie Hewitson
Thank you so much, Connie!
I used to get updates on email. Is this no longer available?
Hi Jenny! Yes, we still send out our updates by email. However, we have switched providers so that may have something to do with it. Some email subscribers were apparently lost in the switch. I will check and be happy to add you back to our list!
Everything you touch turns to gold Cindy.
Love your style
You’re too kind! Thank you so much, Nancy!
Follow you. Do you have an actual store in Fairhope? My precious daughter lives in Fairhope and has a shop called “B Southern” in downtown Fairhope. We love to visit and hoped you had an actual brick and mortar store!! Certainly do enjoy following on line.
Hi Betty! Thank you for following!! At this time, we sell online only. I follow your daughter’s shop on IG!
Just found you on pinterest and read your bio. Love the story. Do you sell your French furniture? I did not see that selection on Etsy. I will follow you on Instagram. Love anything French.
Periodically, we will sell furniture, but not often. It’s usually smaller items that we sell through our Etsy shop.
Love you decorating style–I wish you would do a book for us!!!
Your journey is such a beautiful life giving experience which I thank you for sharing with us. I lived in Florence, Alabama when a teenager. Our father had been transferred from Cleveland, Ohio to Florence for work. I came to love the South very much. That experience added much to who I came to be. Thank you for all your lovely design ideas. Elona
Thank you so much for your sweet words, Elona!
I Love your blog! My friend is looking for a bloger who is interested in Quilting. I thought you might be able to help us find a source for her. Thank You,Nancy
Thank you, Nancy! Unfortunately, I don’t know any quilting bloggers, but I will do some research and see what I can find!
Hi Cindy ~ Stumbled across your blog and so grateful that I did! After visiting Waco and Round Top, I have been smitten with antique and vintage items! We are preparing to build a barndominium and I want to incorporate items that reflect this. Obviously we are on a budget so bargain shopping is on the list. We live Indiana (not my choice) where there are limited arenas such as Edith & Everlyn and of the ones that do exist, they are overly priced and just don’t have that “southern” feel. I appreciate the advice you give when people are looking for items and plan to utilize your expertise. Thank you so very much! (By the way, also love your story!)
Thank you so much, La Donna!
Cindy, I absolutely love the Parquet Squares in your dining room. MY Husband & I of 47 years had those in our first Apt. I have been looking for them lately for a very French conversation room makeover. Could you share where we might find them.
Hi Mary Jo! The parquet floor was original the house. I would suggest checking with a flooring company to see if they sell parquet flooring.
Love your designs I too love anything
French so cal gal that loves antiques
Thank you, Karen!
I enjoyed your article on Purple Staffordshire Transferware. I am researching a set of cups and saucers that were handed down to me. Not sure if my daughters are interested but I am enjoying them for the time being. I am at an age where I am trying to give things to my daughters but it seems that all my friends agree, the younger generation are not that interested.
Thanks for sharing. I would love to see the different stages of your home coming together.
Just saw your beautiful Mora clock transformation. Stunning! You mention you have one for sale? Do u shop to Canada?
Hi Linda! Unfortunately, the Mora clock has already sold.
Where do I get the wood for the pine ceiling? New to your blog. Not sure how to get specs on the light pine ceiling
Doug, here’s the link to the post with all of the info: https://edithandevelynvintage.com/how-to-plank-popcorn-ceiling/
Hello Cindy…I stumbled across your page when I was looking for door casing ideas and liked the way you built up the tops of the doors using the 5.5 inch baseboard and crown molding. Simple but look great. I want to do the same but cant find any of that type of crown molding at Lowes or Home Depot. The hyperlink brings me to lowes site but no longer available. Any ideas? Thanks Alex
Hi Alex! Here’s a link to the crown molding that we used: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Pine-Primed-Crown-Moulding-Actual-1-75-in-x-8-ft/3441592

Where do I begin to look or do you have some for sale. I’m just getting started and just returned from France. My favorite country. Thank you for your help. Cherry Goodson

We just added you to our subscriber list, Elona! Thank you!
I just happened to see you on FB as I was scrolling. Your story made me think of my Mother.
She once took broken sticks from the trees and painted them with leftover paint from yard sales etc to make a bouquet and put in a old blue canning jar. This was 70 years ago. It cheered up our old house. ❤️
What a wonderful memory, Lorraine!
How can I sign up for your blog my e mail address is

I hope you have found your special place in the Panhandle. I found your blog looking for the SS tapestry bedding, as they no longer have it. A picture of your bedroom came up and I was instantly enchanted! I am from Alabama but have lived in Panama City for the last 33 years. Welcome to the beautiful Emerald Coast!
Thank you so much, Melissa!

Love your style and appreciate the information from your blog.

Hello! I love your article on creating a French Trumeau Mirror. I need some advice for the crown molding on the top of this mirror. What exactly did you use for the top as crown molding? I found crown molding at our Home Depot stores but they are one-sided, not closed like yours. If you could help me find the piece that you put on the very top of the mirror, whether it’s called crown molding or not, I’ll be greatly appreciated.
Frances, I am attaching a link to the Crown Moulding that we used. The moulding is flat on the back and mounts on top of the wood that is the backing. We used the same moulding and technique on the mouldings that we used on top of our interior doors, so I’m also attaching the link to that post because it might give you more info. Here’s the link to the moulding: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Pine-Primed-Crown-Moulding-Actual-1-75-in-x-8-ft/3441592. And here’s the link to the other post where we used this same moulding: https://wp.me/p5Xug9-1jP. I hope this helps!
I would dearly love to be added to your subscriber list
I will be glad to add you! Thank you so much!
Going to make the moss pumpkins!
Love your blog.
I enjoy your blog. I would like to sign up for emails but couldn’t find the place to do it. Thanks for your help.
Hi Merrill! I will add you to our subscriber list! Thank you!
Cindy I am from Ireland. Do you sell those beautiful pumpkins?
We will be listing some in the shop soon.
I love Gustavian Provençal style. Your style is beautiful and I can tell it tips more toward the French than the Swedish style. I love it all!! So happy to have stumbled across your Instagram and website from the re-post by Cottage Journal!
Thank you so much, Jennifer!
Hi Cindy!
Do you have a video of you painting the your French blue buffet. I have the paints but would like to see the process and more direction.
Let me know your thoughts.
Thank you,
Amy
Hi Amy! Unfortunately, I don’t have a video tutorial, but here is the link to the blog post which might help: https://wp.me/p5Xug9-n9
Your taste is beautiful and much like mine except I fo add a contemporary furniture twist. Do you ship to Canada?
Hi Sandi, yes we can ship smaller pieces to Canada. We just need to get a quote on individual items.
I love the French pillows; toile light blue tan gold man and woman with sheep and dogs pillows in the 2017 French country style magazine pictured with the skirt a chair article!! Do you have those for sale?
Unfortunately, they aren’t for sale!
What is the name of the vintage market you frequented in Kansas City? I live not far from there and would love to go. I am purchasing an older home and would love to find some special things to decorate with. Also can you let me know the name of website or store you purchased the faux flowers for the orchids & moss you put in your French wine crate?
Hi Connie! The market we used to visit in Kansas City was the West Bottoms antique market held the first weekend of the month. I’m not sure if it’s still going on or not because it’s been awhile since we’ve been there. The faux orchids and moss came from Hobby Lobby! I hope this helps!
I would love, love to know the brands, colors, process you do on your wonderful furniture with the blue hues featured on your site, it is a stunning, rich, timeless look, that I would like to pilfer, if you will. Would love to know your process. Thanks, from eastern Canada….DonnaGolding
Sure do love the island countertop, is that soapstone or concrete?
I love love you story. I could feel your love to both your mom and your mother in law, your love to antiques and vintage, southern living as well in my stomach. Thanks for such beautiful story.
A fantastic story! I love your style and just subscribed. I found your blog when I googled copper and ironstone. Looking forward for great design ideas. Best of luck looking for your new home and in the meantime enjoy your temporary home!
What a delightful story of two amazing women! I’d loved to have been a fly on the wall at tea time or happy hour! And your eye for the beauty in all things, was passed down through you!
Thank you for sharing,
Jan
Sweet story.
Cindy, I have a beautiful antique French provincial dining room set, buffet and china cabinet. I intend to keep it until my death, at which time it must be given a good home. There is no family member who would be interested in having it. Do you have any ideas on how this can be done? Any information you can provide is sincerely appreciated. Thanks.
I can’t quit staring at the Christmas box with sheep, and the holy family..I found the sheep on the etsy store, where do I find the holy family..I hope somewhere they are available..can’t wait to purchase hopefully for next yr..thanks so much..my favorite site..
Hello Cindy,
I am going to have a go at making a Trumeau mirror similar to yours.
My question is, what did you use to stick the mirror to the MDF board?
Many thanks,
Christina UK
Lots of E6000 glue!!
Oh Cindy, your mom sounds like my mom. She was born in 1932 in NYC. After her dad unexpectedly decided to return to their homeland of Australia, she was raised by her mom who worked as a church secretary and took nighttime jobs to send my mom to college.
At 23 my mom married my dad and over 12 years had 4 daughters of which I’m the eldest. When I turned 8 they bought their 1st fixer upper, a 1760 home on 7 acres in Topsfield, MA. She and dad both became students of Early American homes and antiques, and soon my mom opened her 1st of several antiques shops.
She was so incredibly creative and loved to add hints of whimsy and the unexpected in all her decorating. Through her I developed a passion for renovating and diy-ing before it was chic. And now my children continue the passion.
So imagine my joy when I stumbled across your blog and discovered a kindred sister. Over the next few weeks of continued isolation, I think you and I will become good friends through your blog. In the few pages I’ve read I’ve thoroughly enjoyed everything you’ve written and done. Your pictures are amazing! And I discovered the page with the 3 downloadable wreaths. What a serendipity! And what a gracious gift!
Thanks for keeping me, and so many others, inspired through these difficult times.
Merry Christmas blessings and joy!
Robin
It’s so nice to “meet” you, Robin!! Welcome!
Can you please tell me where I can find the sheep figurines that are in the Christmas wood box? I would love to do this in my large wood dough bowl
Hi Debbie! Some of them are vintage and antique. Some are new. We carry this one in our online shop: https://www.etsy.com/listing/861552550/german-style-sheep-with-stick-legs-gray?ref=shop_home_feat_3
I ADORE your Etsy Shop. I want everything!
My husband and I are purebred Irish farm stock. Lol. I was born there and he was born in the States.
Most of his family and besides one cousin and my parents, all my family are “across the pond” In Ireland and some in England.
My aunt and several cousins still live on my mum’s family farm. So, we know ALL about car-boot sales, flea markets, estate sales, etc. and nothing but the beds and sofas in my parents’ home are new. Everything is antique.
I’ve grown to love a “great find” myself and I learned it all from my family. Your pieces remind me of being dragged along as a young kid to some estate sale, which I hated at the time. Now, I’m dragging my husband around trying to find that great deal.
Welcome to Fairhope!! Been here 26 years and love it!!
Cindy, I love your story and design. Opposites do attract and make for beautiful interior design. The religious accents are so very special. I would love to have your help, we all need inspiration and yours is what I need. Where did you get the angle in the frame of your master bedroom? Kerie
Hi Kerie! Thank you so much for your kind words! The angel came from Ballard Designs, and then we mounted it into a large antique frame. I hope this helps!

Hi Cindy, I love your site……I am an avid collector and lived in South of France on and off for many years as we worked there and had a B and B where people came to us from all over for the festivals, it was such fun, but now on to another life!! We are addicted to auctions, etc., and our children grew up in auction houses!! now they are all addicted too. We have a small B and B in central London, called 22. we have been going for 22 years!!! and we still have repeat, you would love it……as it is full of French and English old, antique, marginally cluttered!!! but very charming, like home, not like a hotel at all!!! the website is http://www.22yorkstreet.co.uk. Do hope you will visit one day………after Covid!!! I love your story of your mummy and mother in law, its quite beautiful. At present we are renting a wee apartment, as our little house in St Johns Wood London. called The Piano House as the house is shaped like a piano!!!!!!!has been literally ripped down and now starting all again. You would think by now I know what to do!!!!! but help……..I have kitchens, bathrooms colours, tiles wood etc etc., going through my head each night!! but mostly it will be beiges and off whites……I shall share when done. In the meantime, had to say how I love your site…..and I am now following you. Bravo, well done, with warmest wishes Elizabeth Callis.
How marvelous, Elizabeth! Your B & B sounds absolutely charming! If I ever make it that way, I would love to visit! Thank you so much for commenting and following along!
Cindy, you have given direction to my decorating style! So glad I discovered E&E a few years ago.
I have been on the lookout for a French buffet for awhile and can’t believe you found your beauty in Pensacola where I live! Any hints on where I should look for one? . Hattie
Oh my goodness, I literally find them in the strangest places! Just look everywhere! I found this one at Oooodles Antiques in Pensacola!
Hi Cindy,
I am a huge fan! I could not begin to tell you how much I love your style. I’ve bought a few lovely things from your Etsy shop. We share similar stories with wonderful woman that impacted our style and hearts. I know you must get a thousand messages a day, I was hoping you could spare a minute to answer a quick question? I lay in bed at night and dream about the beautiful angels/putti next to your beautiful French religious board in your living room. Can you tell me anything about them or what they are or from ? I’ve looked high and low, and at any price for ones like them and am lost. They speak to my heart.
Thank you so much for the beautiful you added to my home from your wonderful Etsy site.
Tina Larson
Hi Tina! Thank you so much for your kind words! You wouldn’t believe how many questions I get about those putti sconces! I bought them about 9 years ago from a small shop in Mobile, AL. They aren’t old, and were new at the time I purchased them. I’ve had so much interest in them that I’ve searched exhaustively trying to find a source for them. All to no avail! They don’t have any markings on them which would lead me to the company that originally made them, so unfortunately I don’t have any information on them! If I ever find out any information, I will be glad to let you know!
Hi Cindy,
I’ve missed you the past two Fridays. Are you on holiday or have I lost your French Country Friday’s entry?
Enjoy so much reading your blog as well as the other entries.
Hope all is well.
Thanks
Annette
Hi Annette! I’m taking a short break from FCF. There’s a lot going on at the moment with our business as well as our middle son is getting married in November. I will still be blogging but needed a short break! Thank you so much for checking on me!
Hi Cindy! My name is Angie and I’m from Louisiana and I too love vintage and have a story very similar to yours! I just discovered your blog and love reading all about what you do and seeing such beautiful pics. I ended up on your blog because I’m redoing a vintage rocking chair for my best friend’s mom for her 86th birthday coming up in July. Long story short she wanted the American Flag as the upholstery and we have been looking and looking and finally came across your blog and she fell in love with the fabric. Would you mind sharing with me where you found this fabric? Also what is the fabric made of? I would be so grateful if you could email me with that information. Thank you so much for your time!
Hi Angie! What fabric are you referring to?
Sorry! I forgot to mention that lol, the chair with the white stars navy background and seat with red and white stripes.
Angela, check on Etsy for these two fabrics. The chair is not mine so I’m not sure where that specific fabric came from, but there is fabric sold on Etsy that looks just like it! I hope this helps!
The French chair you did upholstered with white stars and blue with red stripes.
Just found your blog and I’ve spent the past hour looking at your previous posts…..all were wonderful!
I was surprised and thrilled when I read you were in a temporary home in FairHope. We are 2 weeks from our move to Irvington AL which is on the west side of the bay. I believe there is a description of this by the locals, but I’ve not learned this yet. We will be in a temporary situation (living with our daughter and family) until we decide what will be the best solution for our retirement. I’ve spent more time Shopping and Pinterest searching on our one bedroom than I have on an entire house in the past! LOL
are you planning on opening a shop in FairHope? If so, honey, I’ll be there…..often! This Pandemic has had Serious influences on any business, whether opening or closing. Prayer are widespread that it will subside sooner than later! God bless!
Welcome, Janice! Thank you so much for following! We have had an online shop for nine years, selling vintage and antique pieces that we find. And after moving to Fairhope, I opened up a booth at Antiques at the Loop in Mobile, AL which is where we sell more furniture and larger pieces. You will have to come visit!
Love your pics! We have the same taste mixing French provincial with farmhouse. I wish we had a lovely shop like yours in the Woodlands, Texas area.
Hi Cindy, love what you do. Have been doing lots things while in covid lockdown. Next project is a vintage manniquin, thinking of doing it encrusted with my late mother’s costume jewellery. Cathy from Adelaide, South Australia
Hi Cathy! I love your idea for the mannequin!
I love your story! I too grew up on a tight budget. If any decorating was done it was long saved for by my parents and then done ‘en masse’ from the small local furniture store. Every few years my Mom would re-wallpaper our bedrooms. As I got older I could choose the colours of the room I shared with my sister. My 4 brothers shared the biggest bedroom which was an addition to our old house but because it was the ‘new addition’ of the house, it didn’t require wallpaper as the wallboard was new! Anyway, I was a pretty good sewer and enjoyed it which lead to being able to make the curtains, pillows and bed covers for our shared bedroom. There were pink flowers everywhere!! All that to say I love home decorating but I‘m not very confident or maybe it’s because my budget is so small I’m unable to follow a mood board. Not to mention that my husband’s career had us living in 8 different Canadian cities meaning 8+ houses. Our furniture didn’t always fit in the next house and by the time I turned the house into a home, we were transferred again! Finally we retired, chose to live in a small town on the west coast and built our retirement 2000 square foot home….then off we went to Australia for 2 years! An offer came our way that we couldn’t refuse. We’ve now reclaimed our home from renters and are busy landscaping this spring. In the meantime, I’m sourcing furniture finds on local buy and sell sites and sometimes get an opportunity to get into a few consignment shops in the city. One year we took a road trip down the US eastern seaboard, across the southern states and back up the pacific coast. Wow, was I impressed by the consignment/used shops you have in your beautiful country! We drove in a small sports car and by the time we got back home I barely had room to get into the car. My husband was afraid to open the trunk for fear that our belongings would all pop out! I had jammed every nook and cranny with treasures and could have come home with a large truck full!
Maybe because I’m of Acadian ancestry I love French style especially French provincial – I love curves and details but not too much ornateness. I’m happy to have found your blog and look forward to following you. I’d heard of Edith & Evelyn as a resource but hadn’t heard the story behind the name and didn’t realize there was a blog. I thought it was a large franchise store. Hope I haven’t bored you with my story but somehow felt a connection and thought I’d share…something I don’t often do. Thank you for having a blog…from a new fan!
Charolotte, thank you so much for telling me your story! I loved it! And thank you so much for following along, I appreciate it so much!
I do love perusing your beautiful style of decor. It makes my heart sing. I’m a frustrated decorator. I managed once to decorate my living room almost just how I wanted it and I loved it. I’ve been on a low income ads a single person for a long time but have learned that it’s do easy to have the style of decor beauty that you like for next to nothing. The garden, thrift shops, yard sales, things people you know don’t want but you can see the possibility. Thank you Cindy. You lift my spirits.
Wow! I’m a painter always looking for visual inspiration. I was searching ‘chicken french chair’ since I’ve stretched a chicken toile for a new painting and I love your images. Keep up the good work!
Hi Cindy, Firstly I just want to say I LOVE the kitchen photo under this Pinterest photo. I’m curious, do you have a photo of the back splashes under the cream colored cabinets in the surrounding kitchen? I’d love to see what you did in the rest of the kitchen. My husband and I live in a French Chateau and your kitchen reminds me very much of our kitchen (same cabinets, same flooring and we have a cream stacked stone in the wall). My island also looks similar except it’s the same color as our cabinets which I’m currently in the process of painting a grey color. Can I ask you what color you did this island in? I wish you lived closer, you have amazing ideas. I did our French Chateau about 15 years ago and while I still love it, I’m in the midst of updating it for resale. Unfortunately, most people looking at it are between the ages of 38-44 and all want a more modern or farmhouse look.. ugh. Is there somewhere I can go to look at more of your work? I’d love to follow you 🙂
Best regards,
Cheryl Gale
Thank you, Cheryl! Here is the link to the post about the renovation of the kitchen: https://wp.me/p5Xug9-vW The post will have more pictures, as well as the paint colors we used.
Lovely story. Heartfelt!
I love your story and your style
My question about your name has been answered! I love that you are honoring your 2 mothers! It gives your name so much meaning!
Thank you, Laura!
I absolutely love seeing all the renovations you and your husband have done. The plank ceilings are so beautiful, so creative, simply stunning. I hope to find someone with skills to put plank ceilings in my home. Thank you for sharing so many photos along with step by step instructions. Cindy, you decorate beautifully and you also write beautifully. Thank you for sharing your story and your loving memories of your mama and your second mama. I love that they were your inspiration for naming your antique business. Your story touched my heart… such a beautiful tribute to your mama and your second mama.
Your incredible talent gleamed from to special women is a delight to read and see the results. Thank you for sharing. I am so impressed and inspired.
Hi Cindy: I too was inspired by my mom and dad who were lovers of antiques, beauty, and a really great buy. Believers in doing things yourself, they taught me to be creative and inspired and how to create things myself. Hats off to you and I will be following you. Thank you for your wonderful story, I saw myself right there with you.
Aw, thank you so much, Shelley! Your sweet words have made my day!
Wanted to give you a welcome to our beautiful city! You have found the most inspirational area to live for creative people. I was at a charity event earlier this week & the person speaking a comment about how blessed we are to live in such an artistic & creative community! I moved from north Alabama 5 years ago & I have never regretted the move. The variety of events and community activities will keep you very busy. I moved to my. new (smaller) home in August & it definitely takes a while to get things in their proper place, so take your time & enjoy the new challenge.
Thank you so much, Teresa!
Your selling your beautiful home.?? I have been scanning every detail in your Reno It turned out amazing. I told my husband how much I love your style! Well I hope it goes to Simone that appreciates everything you have done!

Thank you so much, Debbie!
Hi Cindy, you are my number one blogger, love your style, talent and kindness. I just bought two little French chairs for $10/pr and was in the process of getting ready for the redo, however, upon turning them over and seeing how dirty the webbing, springs and burlap was, (what appeared to be horsehair in the mix also) I decided to just remove it all. Then I go to look at your blog remembering you have done a lot of chairs and I see you have kept the springs. Have I committed a mortal sin by removing the springs? I was planning to cut a piece of plywood and covering with foam and batting. I have only eviscerated one so far, maybe i can rescue the other one, depending on your expert advice. Thank you Cindy for your time and congratulations on your soon-to-be daughter-in-law.
Have a rewarding and blessed day.
Patti
Hi Patti! Wow, $10.00 for the pair is a great price! Since you’ve already removed the springs, I would go with your original plan by using the plywood and foam. Once those springs are removed, they can be a real pain getting them back in securely. I’ve redone a chair by cutting the plywood for the seat and topping with foam, and then upholstering, and it turned out fabulous! I think that is the easiest way to go! Thank you for your congratulations! We are so excited!!
Hi Cindy, I am using the picture from https://www.thespruce.com/gray-wall-ideas-4582430 as inspiration for our den. Do you have any suggestions for window treatment for a sliding glass door that is right next to the bookcase? The flooring is a light beige. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you in advance!
Hi Ashley! I would check out IKEA! They have beautiful window treatments at great prices!
Just read your bio….I love your story and the history of your business name. Just found your site…. anxious to see and read more. Your “style “ is magical!
Hello, the blue chest that was featured today is painted in pure and original paint I think you mentioned awhile ago what is the name of the beautiful blue color please.
Hi Harriette! It’s a mix of blues, colors Libo Bay and Country Blue.
Cindy- would you feature my products -company on your blog? I am a woman owned entrepreneur in California who like you fancies French inspired design. My crazy obsession with vintage frames led me into my garage at midnight one evening only to surface with a jewelry storage solution using one of my beloved vintage frames. That drew the attention of girlfriend who popped by for lunch one day who insisted I make one for her that then went viral on social media and an unintended business was born in 2016. I’m struggling a bit to take my company to next level and I’m hoping you could help me with a call out on you blog. Please email me heidishangups@comcast.net and I’d be happy to send you photos. You can visit me on the web http://www.heidishangups.com and on FB/IG @heidishangups. Thanks for your time and consideration. -Heidi
I think your posts are beautiful.
I love your posts. They are so well written in an inviting way. What a beautiful story you have! Thank you for sharing your home and family.
Hi Cindy! I am born and raised and still live in East Central Alabama. Roll Tide! I love your blog! I am on a constant lookout for anything that inspires me and anything french. I loved my London/ Paris trip and taking my daughter and granddaughter (she is obsessed) in a couple of years. Thank you for the wonderful blog and exquisite inspiration!!! Janis Paris Sides
What a beautiful tribute to the two amazing women in your life!
I have loved E&E for several years, i cant believe i have never read your story of how it came together. Everything is even more beautiful to me now. Eight years ago I lost my mother to cancer, in Dec.
The following year you had the most beautiful white christmas tree decorated with cream and white strips of fabric and lace…that was my inspration for my tree to honor my morher, my angel tree! ✨✨
Thank you for your beautiful inspirations. ~ xo Diane
Thank you so much, Diane! Your sweet words have made my day!
Bonjour, I am a french something but not a furniture 🙂 just passing by saying hello. Lively to read your passion for French items. If one day you want to organise a French event…contact me. All the best for all.
I’m new to your blog. I loved reading the story of your two lovely matriarchs and I love your new master bedroom decor. LOVE it.
Thank you, Kay! Welcome!
I LOVE this dresser and the additions you made to it! You are so very talented! I signed up for your newsletter. I look forward to your emails.I own Scottsboro Antiques in Scottsboro, AL. I am carrying on the antique business that my Daddy started 48 years ago. I wanted to ask you what brand of gold leaf gilding paste did you use for the gold accents? Also, what is the color of the gilding paste? THANK YOU so very much! I have been struggling with trying to find a gold accent paste on a piece I am doing, but I can’t find the right look. You nailed it and I hope you don’t mind sharing! Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you! Abby
Hi Abby! The gilding paste that I always use is Rub-N-Buff in color Gold Leaf. You can find it at Hobby Lobby! Thank you so much for commenting!!
I just love your story, so beautiful how your mother and your mother-in-law inspired you to become who you are. This is unique.
Forgot to mention, I am totally in love with your home and all your furniture. I hope one day I will be able to create such beauty. I am a beginner, but I keep practising…
What a pleasure to read your story. It is heartwarming to see the way you honor your mother and mother in law. I too love the country French vibe but it is not easy to pull off in a lake house built in 1960. But the cottage, rustic feel does fit in well. I’ve only recently started following several blogs and marvel at the ingenuity and creativity that you young women have. I would have loved to do this in my younger days. Congratulations on making such a success of bringing some of the past into the future.
Margo, what a sweet comment! Thank you so much!
Hi. I hope you and yours had a fabulous Christmas. I have re-read your introduction so many times . I have what I hope isn’t a nosey question. I notice that you mention a brother but not a sister. Have I misunderstood that you had a sister?
I have a brother and a sister. My sister passed away almost two years ago. She was nine years older than I am, so she was grown and out of the house when my mother was still raising my brother and me. That is why my sister isn’t mentioned in our introduction story. I hope that helps! I hope you had a Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!!
long story short… I noticed after a year that most of my pictures in Pinterest had the Edith and Evelyn logo and decided to look you up. Reasons being is I have never seen so many photos that reminded me of my mother style and passion. Everything I know and love to this day is a reflection of her. I could never put a name to her style she loved anything and everything shabby, chic, French country, vintage and farmhouse, coastal you name it she loved it and found beauty in most anything. I’m honored to have been able to inherit not only her style but also her collection of furniture and things. As I look at your photos I’m inspired because at 24 I bought my first home and me and my husband have been channeling our inner chip and Joanne lol money is tight but we have been taking it one room at a time:)) My mother’s name was also Cindy as well and she was more a southerner always dressed Lilly Pulitzer, pearls or vintage dresses. I’m hoping to make my home almost like a window of her so anyone and everyone who knew her would be able to feel her threw all of her years of eclectic of thrift store finds and amazing collections. Thank you so much for blogging:) I’m so happy to have found you and want to keep up with your home journey!!!
Oh, Christian, thank you so much for your sweet comment! Your mother sounds precious and so much like my mother in law, Evelyn! Your home is going to be so warm and welcoming! Enjoy this journey!
It took me months to realize you were Cindy and you weren’t married to Eylyn. I think I sent Edith a note. Oh I am glad I finally found your into.Lovely .
I answer to Cindy, Edith, or Evelyn! Lol! Thanks for commenting, Jennifer!
Thank You so much for your story it was Beautiful ,It’s so nice to find Women with the same Heart .I think it’s so important to open the eyes of young People who Live in such a throw away world. I’m thrilled to find your Blog ,
Thank you, Deborah! Welcome!
Hello, I would love to subscribe to your blog as well. I love all things French and your style is my style. I’ve followed you on instagram for a while now, and I’m an avid, thrift store, flea market, junkie as well. I also learned my love of decorating from my Mother. I live just across the state line from Mobile Al. in Hurley Mississippi. Maybe one day our paths will cross and I can meet you in person, but until then, I’ll admire your work, and your home from afar.
Laura, you’re so sweet, thank you! I have added you to our email list!
Love your story…just finished reading article in the Cottage Journal Frence Cottage. Loved it! Would like to subscribe to your blog . Please add me. Thanks!
Thank you so much! We’ve added you to our list!
Hello – I just subscribed and am looking forward to catching up. I looked up the auction house in Mobile and the most recent post seems to be a year+ old (at least that I saw). Are you located in Mobile? I also noted a Missouri address. I grew up in Pensacola and had the pleasure of knowing and purchasing from some of the old Mobile dealers (Kearney’s and Ruby Steadman Antiques particularly, both on Government) decades ago. Mobile has always been a great place to find French influenced pieces. Nice blog – happy to join!
Hi Steven! We are currently located in Missouri, however we lived in Mobile and the Gulf Coast area for several years. We still attend the monthly estate sale in Mobile every month. It’s a good one!
Wow, what a great story.
I HAVE to love your “name”; you see my Mom was named Edith, and my name is Evelyn. I would LOVE to be subscribed to your blog.
We would to add you to our subscriber list, Evelyn! We will take care of it shortly! Thank you so much!
I just love your story! It would have been fabulous to meet Edith and Evelyn. Glad you are carrying on their legacy!
Aw, thank you, Melissa!
What was the name of your shiplap you used for your ceiling? I have looked everywhere and can’t find anything but the fake wood with paper covering on it.
Hi Catherine! The planks that we used are no longer available. However, Lowe’s is now carrying these: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Design-Innovations-3-5-in-x-8-ft-Natural-Cedar-Wood-Tongue-and-Groove-Wall-Plank/999970432. They are very comparable to what we used. I hope this helps!
I have been following your blog for awhile and I love every room in your house! You and your house have been such an inspiration for me. I was just looking at your family room (again!) and noticed you have IKEA sofas. I am looking for a new sofa in my family room (it is an open floor plan) and was wondering about your thoughts in your IKEA sofa. Thanks!
Hi Jacqueline! I am currently working on a post about our IKEA sofas after living with them for three years! I loved them when we bought them three years ago, and I still love them today! I was just telling my husband that if anything happens to them or if they finally wear out, I will buy them again. You can’t beat the price and I love that I can take the slipcovers off and wash them. We live in our family room, and we eat, drink coffee, have a glass of wine, while sitting on these sofas, and our little schnauzer is always on them, so we definitely don’t pamper them. I usually strip the covers and wash them about 3-4 times a year. I love them! I hope this helps!!
Hi Cindy…..Its Nancy (just bought your absolutely gorgeous round french bread board!!!- Can’t Wait!) Can you tell me the exact name of your white ikea sofas and the name of the white denim fabric (if there is a designated one)
Hi Nancy! I’m so glad you got the French bread board! You will love it! Here is the link to the sofa that we have: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S89129226/. And here is the link to the slipcover: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90321756/. I hope this helps!!
Love your style! I’d have to redo my whole house to be in line with it, but I have incorporated little smidgens of it here and there. I was inspired by you, to buy the blue French style chair and ottoman from Soft Surroundings, and it’s one of my favorite pieces of furniture! Keep inspiring and doing good things for the world of decorating!
Oh, Tana, thank you so much! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the blue chair from Soft Surroundings! Thank you so much for letting me know!
Hello Cindy,
I just signed up to follow your blog (saw it on Savvy Southern Style’s post today about your groups upcoming “French Fridays”). I loved reading about your story, as I was wondering where your Edith & Evelyn title came from. Know I know… and appreciate and applaud you honoring the lovely ladies from your past. Looking forward to following along with you. =)
Thank you, Sue! I appreciate you following along!
Hello Cindy,
I have been following your blog for awhile and just took time to read your story. It sure made me smile. My husband and I are from Camden Arkansas. We lived in Texarkana and Hot Springs before moving to Branson in 1995. We have always built and lived in Federal, or Greek Revival style homes. Not too popular in the Nixa/Ozark area! We recently bought a 90acre farm (no house) in Cape Fair, and at the age of retirement want a small farm! I say all this because it means a change to a more farmhouse style for me.I don’t like trendy So it will be a challenge to marry styles. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home and inspirational story.
Oh my goodness, what a wonderful journey you’ve had, Debbie! Good luck with your new adventure, it sounds exciting!
Hi Cindy, I’m so excited to have found your blog. Last night my husband showed me the planked ceiling. It’s been planked for at least a year. I couldn’t bring myself to finish since I didn’t know how to finish it. I didn’t want to paint and I didn’t like any of the stains. I wanted to leave natural but didn’t like the finishes I found until I saw the picture of what you did. I wonder if I can send you a picture of our ceiling see what you think. I want to do just like yours.
Bea Cannon
Absolutely, Bea! Send them to Cindy@edithandevelynvintage.com
I’m trying to subscribe to your blog. Can’t find where to do it. Can you please add me? Thank you!
We’ll be glad to add you!
What a wonderful story.
I saw your article about your home in the Springfield News Leader dated August 7, 2016. Misplaced the article until now. Wondering how to send you a picture of a French brass serving cart to see if you have any interest in it.
Thank you for your time,
Shirley
ebailey6637@yahoo.com
Hoping to hear from you.
Thank you, Shirley! You can send any pictures to Cindy@edithandevelynvintage.com
Hi Cindy. I just found your site and I think I’m in love with your style as well as the site name. My grandmothers were named Edith and Evelyn.
Oh my goodness, that’s wonderful, Felicia! Welcome!
Hi Cindy, Sweet Story , Thank you for allowing us into your life and beautiful home. I have on several occasions ran across your OH SO FAB blue redo, and I would like to tell you AMAZING !!!! It has taken my breath and my eye’s many times…. You know when it’s special because like a love story, it takes your breath again and again….Lorne
Thank you so much for your sweet words, Lorne! I appreciate it so much!
Hi Cindy! I love your storytelling about your mother’s and mother-in-law’s personalities and characteristics. Both women resonated with me in the deepest way, and I am humbled by their lives well lived. Also, I love your ruffled slipcovers on the pair of cane-backed french chairs in your Master Bedroom. I recently bought a similar chair at a Habitat for Humanity Restore, and I will use your idea of sewing a ruffled slipcover. I will change it up slightly by adding cotton twill ties for a farmhouse-style look. Actually, this is my first furniture flip so I am totally jazzed to start this project. Looking forward to updates on your renovations and other tidbits. Thank you for sharing your spirited home with us!
I came across your blog through Pinterest and I’m in love!!! Live your taste and what you have done with your house, such an inspiration! Love love love
Thank you so much, Reem!
Your name caught my attention because my name is Edyhe & my sisters is Evelyn. Then I looked thru all of your Beautiful pics and love your style it’s exactly like ours. Do you have a showroom with your lovely things? I do a lot of DIY from yard sales & thrift store finds.
Hi Edie! We don’t have a showroom, however we do have an online shop: https://www.edithandevelyn.etsy.com
Thank you for this wonderful, helpful site – un grand merci a vous! Unfortunately there doesn’t appear to be shipping to Canada – quelle tristesse. Being from Montreal, QC I am a huge fan of the French style & also love Gustavian.
Carolle, we do ship outside the US. Please contact us on the individual items that you may be interested in and we can get you a shipping quote.
Dear Cindy
Recently you displayed a silver plateau
I have the same one. Can you give me any details? I believe it is Sheffield
Beveled mirrow. Thank u
Hi Linda! I don’t have a lot of details on it. It belonged to my mother and was passed down to me. She found it many years ago at a yard sale in the bottom of a junk box, and paid very little for it. I’ve not seen another one like since.
Cindy; I found your blog through your family room update featured on Hometalk. It is stunning! I can’t wait to go through all your posts and see your other transformations as other readers have indicated. I just want to say how touching and beautiful your tribute is to the two most important women in your life. You have figured it out girl.
Aw, thank you so much Ann!
I am new to your blog and I absolutely love your story about the name. I can’t wait to peruse your site! I love your style; I’m a farmhouse/traditional/cottage/French country girl myself.
Thank you Joyce! And Welcome!
Wonderful intro.. Your foyer tile was the inspiration I needed when I selected a tile for my porch. Found one similar, just a great look and feel.
So much enjoy reading your blog. Lots of positive energy here.
Thank you so much Betsy!
Hi Cindy, I love your home and your do-overs, though personally my style is somewhat eclectic. I loved reading about your mom and mom in law, especially both of my moms also famously get along really well. They go on vacations together and talk very high of each other. My MIL also treats me as her own and I her too. I sometimes tell my husband that she loves me more than she loves him, ( I believe that)
Sujata, your story makes me smile….I always told my sweet husband that his mama loved me more than him…..and he usually agrees! Thanks for the comment!
Beautiful renovation! You have incredible style…so impressed with your DIY skills.
Thank you so much Nollene!
Lovely warm friendly introduction to your beautiful home and your life.
Your intro pages is so lovely! What a beautiful story of Edith and Evelyn and such a meaningful way to incorporate them into your work. I am a DIYer, fixer upper, creator, et. al., and I am so glad I came across your blog. One day I might just have an antique business like yours . . . Cheers!
Thank you so much, and welcome!
Hi Cindy,
I receive your emails and love to see what new things you are creating. I too, live in Southwest Missouri (Joplin) and was wondering if you have a shop in the area? Thanks for all the great ideas!
Cassandra
Thank you Cassandra! We currently only sell online, however we are hoping {fingers crossed!} to be opening in a retail space soon…..so, stay tuned! Thanks so much for following along!
A lovely story about your two “mamas”. My daughter Elizabeth tells everyone how I dragged her to tag sales, flea markets, auctions etc. I too was a single mother on a very tight budget and loved to decorate. I am new to your blog but can’t wait to receive each edition. Recently I learned that all along my basic love was for French Country and I am still having fun decorating after all these years! Best regards..
Thank you Pam!
hello, I have come across your blog a couple of times from several different places, and have always enjoyed reading. I am from the Monett/Freistatt area so we live close!!! Do you have a store per se in Springfield? Would love to chat sometime!!! Like you I am very drawn to the French country – the style, the colors…. it all just warms my heart! Keep up the great work with the blog!!!
Hi Pamela! I know your area well! I don’t have a brick and mortar store anymore, for the time being, we only sell online. So glad someone else loves French Country style, it’s a little difficult finding that particular decor in this area sometimes! So glad to connect with you, thanks so much for following the blog!
Cindy~
Love reading your story, It was just meant to be how these two names flow together “Edith and Evelyn” how sweet the sound, Im sure both of these ladies would be thrilled! My dear mom and mother in law were special too, but their names together “Ardis and Opal” , not so much, (giggles).
I was wondering if you spent time in France is why you love this décor? You home is lovely! I am more English tradition so I thought, for looking at these wonderful blogs, I feel I could bounce all over the place at times.
Paula
Thank you so much Paula! “Ardis and Opal” made me smile. Sadly, I have never spent any time in France. It is on my “bucket list”, so maybe someday! I’m not sure why I am so drawn to all things French, from a past life perhaps?? Thank you so much for following along on my unexpected journey!
Hi Cindy! I stumbled on your FB page because of viral sharing of your kitchen and living room renovation. You have impeccable taste! You have an artist eye for pulling together a beautiful look with common, unrelated items.
I can’t wait to see the renovations on your bedroom!
By the way, I love the story you shared on Edith and Evelyn. What a wonderful way to honor your mentors/friends that had such an amazing influence on you.
Doreen
Thank you so much Doreen! That means so much to me!
I love your blog and am so thrilled to have found you. Your photos and stories have helped me to realize my style and that its ok to mix glam with farmhouse and burlap with silk. Your mothers sounded wonderful and I’m sure are quite proud of you. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Aww, thank you Cindy! That means so much to me!
I love seeing your beautiful home. I grew up in a small town in southeast Kansas. Does that make us neighbors? 🙂 Thanks for sharing your home and skills with everyone.
Thank you Debra!
Cindy your eye for design and your skills keep me coming back for more. I admire your talents and I look forward to many more visits to your lovely blog. Hugs!
You obviously have that built in exquisite taste! Your work is spot on. Love it
Thank you Alexis!
I just found your blog and love everything about your home. Your story is so sweet. Honoring loved ones that have influenced our lives is so special. You are one special lady…..Keep up the excellent work!
Aww, thank you so much Becky! That means so much to me! Thank you so much for following along!
I am in love with everything you do and everything you are about and I’m so excited that I found your site over at Cedar Hill Farmhouse! My mom was a shopper of old things too and her home was a beautiful composition of things both old and new. Thankfully, she passed on that love to me. Hubby and I recently moved to the South and I am having so much fun decorating a house of a different style. He and I don’t have exactly the same taste so it will be a balancing act as I add in the French Country touches. I will be following along with you to see all that you have to share.
Blessings,
Patti
P.S. I don’t usually GUSH so much over a newfound blog 🙂
Thank you Patti! I’m so glad you found me! Congratulations on your move to the South! I lived in the South for 30 years, and though I grew up in a little Missouri town, I feel like I am a Southern girl at heart.
Just wonderful! Everything is a delight and treat for the eyes. Like you, I love the challenge of doing it myself. My husband and and I are moving from Wisconsin to the New Orleans area shortly and my hope is to find a house with great bones that needs some TLC. (By the way, I’m also a Missouri girl – St. Louis is “home”.)
Just enjoying following your journey!
Thank you Maria! Good luck on your upcoming move, I love the New Orleans area! I lived in the South for 30 years and it has a way of getting in your soul! Hope you find the home that is waiting just for you! Thanks for following along!
You are awesome my friend! I want to be you when I grow up!
Awww…I love you, girl!
This is a great introduction page! I was wondering where your blog name Edith and Evelyn came from. How wonderful that you honored these two important people in your life by naming your business after them. I love your easy conversational style and boy is your home interesting and elegant with a definite calm French vibe. Love it!
Awwww…thank you Sandy! I appreciate your kind words so much!
That kitchen redo is STUNNING. I want to come live with you!!! Beautiful job.
Am desperate for trophies – how quickly can you get to connecticut?
Hi Beth! You can see our trophies that we have in stock at . We ship every day!

I have two but letting one go, if youre still interested please let me know!
I just stumbled across your page and store. The way you decorate and the things you have done are just beautiful! Is there a way i get put on your blog list? I have just moved and purchased a house. I have done 2 other homes but i am interested in a French design for the current one.You have such a beautiful eye. I want to be like you!
Hi Gayla! Thank you so much for your sweet words! I will be glad to add you to our newsletter subscriber list!
