Antique Shopping in Springfield, MO

Let’s go antique shopping! That is, virtual antique shopping!

A few weeks ago, hubby and I made a trip to Southwest Missouri to visit family and no trip to that area would be complete without a bit of antique shopping at one of my favorite antique shops, The Vintage Peddler, in Springfield, MO! 

We travel and go antique shopping quite often, and I thought you might love following along on our picking trips!

The Vintage Peddler is located in Springfield, MO and it’s one of my favorite sources for antiques and vintage decor.

The store has an impressive 12,000 sq. ft, and offers a beautiful, curated selection of antiques, vintage items, mid century pieces, home decor, primitives, and so much more! It’s filled to the brim with charming, unique finds!

I never make a trip back to my home state without stopping by to see what I can find, and I’m never disappointed. This trip also happened during my favorite time of the year. The Ozark Mountains are gorgeous during the Fall season.

One of the first things I saw in this fabulous antique market was this metal tole chandelier with it’s dripping crystals. The vendor had it mounted into the top of an antique mannequin for a very whimsical one of a kind look!

This dog oil painting immediately drew my attention. I love anything dog related, and if you are a fellow dog lover, you understand!

There are so many quality vendors at The Vintage Peddler, each with their own one of a kind offerings, and they are so talented in styling their booths. 

The Vintage Peddler is housed in an old manufacturing building and all of the vendors have a passion for antiques and vintage pieces.

This particular vendor always carries very unique religious pieces which I’m so fond of. I loved both of these large statues, however they were out of my budget. But I still love seeing them.

This French chest is so unique. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one like it.

I love visiting this unique place during the holidays especially, because the decor is breathtaking and so well done.

When we were there, the entire shop was decorated for Fall, filled with so much inspiration.

The offerings are always changing so you never know what you will find.

The French enfilade sideboard, shown here, was absolutely stunning and in wonderful condition! It was very large so you would need a large space to display it in.

If you’ve been around awhile, you know how I feel about vintage garden statuary, so this sweet fella immediately caught my eye!

I know that Southwest Missouri has a lot of antique shops and markets, but The Vintage Peddler will always be my favorite! Shelly Gordon, the owner, has done a fabulous job curating wonderful vendors and creating a well laid out shopping venue.

I spy a very pretty turquoise chest! That color always stands out to me!

I don’t know what it is about shabby old dress forms, but I’m a little obsessed with them!

I used to have several old French mannequins, but over the years, I have eventually sold all of them. Today, due to the limited space in our home, I probably won’t be buying any more of these old beauties, but I’m always drawn to them when I see them!

I love that this vendor draped several old rosaries around it’s neck.

Whether you’re a veteran antique collector or just beginning to discover this world of treasures, you will definitely come across something very unique in The Vintage Peddler’s vast offerings. 

We lived in the Southwest Missouri area for many years, and this antique market was always on the list to check out frequently. I always found something for our own home, as well as many things for my online shop. 

I miss being able to visit on a regular basis. Now I only get to shop there when we are back visiting family. However, I love to drool over the photos on their Facebook page!

The Vintage Peddler is filled with everything from classic antiques to more recent vintage pieces, including mid century. Every booth evokes the charm of yesteryear and tells an interesting story.

Furnishing a home is easy with an assortment of furniture options and styles that fit any decor.

There is so much to see at every turn, including a bit of whimsy!

Springfield, MO is in the heart of the Ozarks, and The Vintage Peddler is located at 1432 E. Trafficway! It’s a beautiful area to visit, especially during glorious Autumn!
