Come with me for a little antique shopping in the Ozarks!
Last week, hubby and I traveled to the Ozarks to visit family, and no trip to that area is complete without a bit of antique shopping at one of my favorite antique shops, The Vintage Peddler, in Springfield, MO!
It doesn’t matter what you call it…antiquing, junking, thrifting, or picking….I love doing it! It’s one of my favorite pastimes. You never know what you will find! So, come along with me on our virtual shopping trip!

The Vintage Peddler is located in Springfield, MO and it’s one of my favorite sources for antiques and vintage decor.
The store has an impressive 12,000 sq. ft, and offers a beautiful, curated selection of antiques, vintage items, mid century pieces, home decor, primitives, and so much more! It’s filled to the brim with charming, unique finds!
I never make a trip back to my home state without stopping by to see what I can find, and I’m never disappointed. Our timing was perfect because The Vintage Peddler was hosting their annual Fall open house and everything was decorated for the Fall season which is right around the corner!

There are so many beautiful booths with very unique finds, and they are put together so well, with quality items.
This gorgeous box immediately caught my eye. It looks Italian and it’s in a wonderful large size.

There are so many great vendors at The Vintage Peddler, each with their own one of a kind offerings, and they are so talented in styling their booths. Strolling the aisles is a great way to get inspired for your own home.
The Vintage Peddler is housed in an old manufacturing building and all of the vendors have a passion for antiques and vintage pieces.
I have such a weakness for jardinieres and this silver-plate jardiniere was gorgeous!

You know I have a love of French chairs and this cane back Louis XV chair was so pretty!
It was in wonderful condition. I thought long and hard about bringing it home with me, but I have so many French chairs now that I really don’t need another one! So I left it behind for some other lucky person to find!

I love visiting this unique place, especially during the holidays, because it will definitely get you into the spirit.
The Vintage Peddler does such a great job in decorating for the different seasons and holidays, and it’s the perfect place to shop for those one of a kind gifts for the special people on your list.
Anything religious always grabs my attention, as did this vintage church altar candelabra. The brass plating was beautiful, and with the adjustable arms, it could be positioned in several different ways. I could see it displayed in a special place during the holidays.

This table! I fell in love with it! It was a such a great price but I just don’t have anyplace to put it.
It’s perfect for a small dining room or a breakfast room with pretty French chairs around it.

This winged Victory statue on the wood pedestal stopped me in my tracks. It would have definitely come home with me, but sadly, it wasn’t for sale.
I guess the vendor was using it as a display only, which is kind of a pet peeve of mine. I feel like if you’re going to put it in your booth, then list it for sale. I also found some Florentine tables in another booth, that were listed as “NFS” (Not For Sale). Very frustrating.

I know that Southwest Missouri has a lot of antique shops and markets, but The Vintage Peddler will always be my favorite!
Shelly Gordon, the owner, has done a fabulous job curating wonderful vendors and creating a well laid out shopping venue.
This miniature Wolf dress form was a beauty!

Whether you’re a veteran antique collector or just beginning to discover this world of treasures, you will definitely come across something very unique in The Vintage Peddler’s vast offerings.

We lived in the Southwest Missouri area for many years, and this antique market was always on my list to check out frequently. I always found something for our own home, as well as many things for my online shop.
I miss being able to visit on a regular basis. Now I only get to shop there when we are back visiting family. However, I love to drool over the photos on their Facebook page!
The Vintage Peddler is filled with everything from classic antiques to more recent vintage pieces, including mid century. Every booth evokes the charm of yesteryear and tells an interesting story.
Furnishing a home is easy with an assortment of furniture options and styles that fit any decor.
Springfield, MO is in the heart of the Ozarks, and The Vintage Peddler is located at 1432 E. Trafficway! It’s a beautiful area to visit, especially during the Fall season!
I hope you have enjoyed doing a little virtual antique shopping with me! Till next time!
Cheers, Cindy

I love when bloggers bring us along on shopping trips! It’s like window shopping for me.
Gives me inspiration and shows me what others are decorating with. And keeps money in my pocket!!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful shop. If I am ever out that way again I will be sure to look it up
Loved the virtual shopping even though buying was not an option!
Born and raised in the southwest of Missouri I loved virtually shopping with you. (Retired in Florida now). Thank you! And I agree with the frustration of NFS.
It was fun shopping with you
Thank you so much for the stroll through this beautiful shop. Can see why you love it. Surely you came home with something new. Worth the trip for sure.
Lots of beautiful treasures! It’s a good thing I don’t live nearby, Cindy!
