Welcome to Christmas After Dark with Tree Classics!
When my son was a little boy, he would beg for a Christmas tree with colored lights every year, but I always wanted a tree with clear lights.
To solve this dilemma, I would put up two trees, one with clear lights, and one with colored lights for my son.
Why, oh why, couldn’t I have had a tree like the Deluxe Noble Fir with changing LED lights from Tree Classics?!?
It would have made life so much easier!
When this stunning Deluxe Noble Fir tree arrived from Tree Classics, I was so excited about putting it in our recently renovated living room.
This tree was so easy to put together. It comes with it’s own stand, and all you have to do is simply snap the stand into the bottom section of the tree, tilt it up, connect the treetop, and the setup is complete!
A built-in rolling stand lets you find the perfect spot for your tree easily, and after the holidays, the tree will store on its stand with its upright custom storage bag!
The living room isn’t quite ready for the full reveal yet because we’re still trying to bring in some furniture, hang artwork, etc. But this room just begs for the Christmas tree to be set up in front of the bay windows, and I have envisioned it being there from the moment we moved in.
This tree is beautiful during the daytime with it’s shiny red and gold ornaments, tulle ribbon, natural pinecones, and bead garland.
However, it’s showstopper when it’s lit up after dark.
Decorating the tree with the gorgeous glass ornaments from Tree Classics was such a joy. The ornaments are so pretty and classic.
I chose the silver and gold ornament and finial collection, adding my Tree Classics ornaments from last year in gold and red.
I love “stuffing” the branches with organic materials, such as branches and large pine cones, some gilded with paint, and some left natural.
I added a stunning tree skirt from Tree Classics in a gorgeous gold satin and gold sequins around the edge.
I used a large 72″ size because I like to bunch it up a bit around the base of the tree for added depth, layering the gifts around it.
I brought in some of my favorite things to surround this beautiful tree, and set the scene for an Old World Christmas!
The rest of the living room is pretty sparse with just a chair and a french sofa, but that’s all we need to sit and enjoy the pretty lights on the tree at night.
Hopefully we’ll have the rest of the room put together soon and I can do a full reveal!
We have a decision to make with this tree…..do we want clear lights……….
……or do we want colored lights??
You can have both with just the flick of a switch!
The Deluxe Noble Fir tree comes with color changing LED lights, which gives you four lighting choices….clear LED lights, multi colored LED lights, alternating from clear to multi, and off.
I can’t decide which lights I like better!
It will be fun switching back and forth, depending on our mood.
I look forward to sitting in here with hubby and Miss RubyLou at night and enjoying this beautiful tree, drinking a cup of hot chocolate or maybe a glass of wine.
I see us playing Christmas music, and maybe reading a special poem to Miss RubyLou….
Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the pack,
Not an animal was stirring, not even for snacks.
The stockings where chewed by the chimney with care,
In hopes that Santapaws soon would be there.
The doggies were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of bones danced in their heads……
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing how we decorated our beautiful tree from Tree Classics!
Cheers, Cindy

This is beautiful, as always. My kids always love the bright lights too. Where is the teddy bear from? He is adorable sitting proudly under the tree? I didn’t see him in your online store!
Thank you, Ashley! The bear was a gift from hubby when we first started dating, over 35 years ago! It’s a limited edition Robert Raikes bear.
Could you tell me about the wooly lamp that is under the tree? Gorgeous, where did you get it? Thanks
Hi Betty! We have sold those in our online shop for years. However, they are currently out of stock.
So glad your back, I’ve missed seeing all your creative and beautiful ideas. Going to go up to my stash and get my sugared fruit. This will be a great idea when the Christmas decorations are put away and the house always looks so plain. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.
Merry Christmas, Mollie!
This is so beautiful, and Ruby Lou is adorable. The photos offer such great inspiration. Thank you for sharing this x
Thank you so much! Merry Christmas!
Can you please tell me what color and brand spray paint you used on your tall gold floor mirror? I have one very similar and it needs a fresh coat of paint but can’t figure out if it’s a brass or a gold paint. Thank so much! Love everything you do!
Hi Leslie! Here’s the link to the post that has all the details on the pier mirror: https://edithandevelynvintage.com/study-renovation-begun-pier-mirror-update/
I love your tree, esp. the clear lights. Ruby Lou adds a special touch to any room with her Christmas outfits.
She loves to pose for pictures while she keeps Mommy company. Precious!
I have a little girl cat, named Miss Kitty, because she was born Southern Georgia. Miss K is my constant companion but does not dress up for photos.
Enjoy decorating and have a blessed Christmas season.
Thank you, Patty! Miss Kitty sounds delightful! Merry Christmas!
Hi,
I need to have one of your small sheep with a crown. When will you have them back in stock? Thanks, Tami
Hi Tami! We are trying to get them back in stock now. I will be glad to message you when they are available again.
Hi Tami, We have more sheep coming in, and we have re-listed two of the larger sizes. Unfortunately, the smallest size is out of stock and is no longer available. The crown is sold separately, and stock is limited on it. Once they are sold out we won’t have any more available. Here are the links to the available listings:

There is always something new on the market to temp us , isn’t there? Beautiful tree! My husband and I just spent a week in Biloxi . He was in meetings most of the time but one morning was free and he asked what I would like to do. Knowing that Theodore , AL was less than an hour from Biloxi, MS and that Bellingrath Gardens and Charles Phillips Antiques were there, I knew exactly what I wanted to do! The gardens and home were gorgeous I spent 2 hours there. Hubby decided to opt out of the house tour but that was ok. I loved it. BUT Charles Phillips Antiques! Oh my! Eight buildings full of antique shutters, doors, and furniture. Then fabric, dough bowls, and accessories. I was totally overwhelmed. I will need 2 or 3 more trips there before I can actually get organized enough to know what to buy. It was a perfect day. Beautiful weather, beautiful gardens, beautiful home and over the top antique store. I may never get to actually go back but I got there once. Thanks to your blog I had a fabulous day.
Oh, Claire, I’m so glad you got to visit those two fabulous places! Charles Phillips Antiques can be a bit overwhelming the first time you visit, but if you love European antiques, it is paradise! Thanks for commenting!
So funny, my son also loved the colors lights! He and his wife now live in the guest house on our new property so he can now have his colored lights! I think this year I will honor my mom and use her beautiful ornaments. I will be a nice memory.
That sounds wonderful, Linda!
For the first time in years I’m doing my LR tree with red (and gold, white and some nature elements). I got so tired of using the traditional red and green but got inspired by posts like yours. Thanks for more inspiration! Lovely tree….can’t wait to see the rest of the room reveal.
Thank you, Connie! I usually don do red but the last couple of years I have and I’ve enjoyed the change! Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!
Cindy, your tree looks beautiful! I agree, it’s such a pleasure to be able to switch the lights to colored at the touch of a button. It’s a joy to be on this Christmas After Dark tour with you! xo
Thank you sweet friend!
Beautiful tree! I especially love the story for Ruby Lou!!
Thank you, Debbie!
What a lovely home you have and your Christmas decor is beautiful! I love all the special touches you’ve added around the tree. Having the option of clear or colored lights is refreshing since I can never decide which ones I like the best.
Thanks, Alli!
Everything looks fabulous! Your mirror and the reflection of the tree are breathtaking! Is the little grapevine tree on your staircase similar to the one you arranged with hydrangeas? That vignette blew me away!
Thanks Ginger! Yes, the grapevine tree on the stairs is just like the one I used with the hydrangeas!
Cindy, it’s magnificent!! I’m a fan of clear, but how wonderful to have the choice!! Very cool. Can’t wait to see your living room reveal too. Looks like a room with fabulous bones and with your talent, I know it will be stunning!!
Thank you dear friend!
Everything looks lovely. Cannot wait for full room reveal. Choosing light shape and color is such a funny thing. I miss those big classic bulbs. I love twinkly white, but love color too. I live in a rural area, and a neighbor has a very long fence. Every year, going on 25 now, the fence is adorned with colored lights and I adore it.
Not only do I love your tree’s light options, it has a beautiful shape. And of course decor is spot on.
Finally, off topic, the terrarium/wardian case in the background: I must have one in my life.
Thank you, Cassandra! I found that little terrarium case at a flea market a couple of years ago….I love it!
First of all, the tree is magnificent Cindy! I think my next tree will be the one with the changing lights as my hubby loves the color and I love the crisp white lights! I had to laugh when I read the story about your son. As it was the same in my household when my son was growing up and I had two trees …. back then I was the renegade as not many people had two trees….I had my tree with white lights in the living room and the “boys” tree of colored lights in the family room….Love, love your home every day; however, at Christmas time you can hear the angels sing!
Aw, dear friend, you are so sweet with your kind words! Thank you! Last night I was playing with the lights, switching them back and forth, and I couldn’t help but think that my son would have loved this tree when he was growing up!
Just simply stunning, Cindy! Oh, and the bear is the cutest addition!!
Thanks, Kim! My husband bought me that bear when we were dating….many years ago!
Love the changing lights!
Thank you, Vicki! It’s such a wonderful feature, and the LED lights are beautiful!
