Thanks to NearlyNatural, our front porch is ready for Christmas!
Our front porch is all decorated for Christmas in colors of red and gold, lots of gorgeous greenery, and twinkling lights. The front porch is in an alcove area, and though it’s not large, it’s so pretty when it’s all decorated for the holidays.
Thanks to the beautiful products from NearlyNatural, decorating the porch this year was very easy, and it was the perfect backdrop for our little cutie, Miss RubyLou, to have her Christmas pictures taken!
NearlyNatural has fabulous faux plants, topiaries, and trees. They are so realistic looking that you will need to touch them to make sure they aren’t real!
And the best thing about NearlyNatural plants? They are always green, always pet safe, and always low maintenance!
Sitting at the front of our porch are two small artificial Christmas trees which we displayed on our black square planters.
The two petite trees are pre-lit and arrived already decorated with red berries and pine cones. I placed an evergreen wreath underneath each one to give it a bed of greenery to sit on, and at only 2′ tall, they are the ideal size for a smaller planter.
We tried a few different outfits on RubyLou and she wasn’t thrilled with any of them. In the end, her simple Christmas scarf was the only accessory she needed.
I have readers ask me all the time how I get RubyLou to pose for pictures, and what people don’t know is that she will do anything for……Cheerios! Cheerios are her love language, and she will practically dance for them. She’s always been really easy to train and has always liked getting her picture taken. And it’s really easy to get her to pose with a Cheerio tossed her way every few minutes!
There are two larger pots that flank the front door, and they hold two faux boxwood topiaries. I’ve had them for years, and they are from NearlyNatural as well. I draped them with twinkling lights and I love them so much that I may keep them lit even after the holidays are over.
The faux topiaries have held up so well over the years, and they are just as beautiful today as the day I received them, which is a testament to the quality of NearlyNatural products.
Our front door is surrounded with two 9′ pre-lit garlands, and a gorgeous pre-lit wreath is on the door.
We added beautiful red and gold Christmas ornaments to the garland, and it offsets the pretty red berries on the petite trees.
Using pre-lit greenery from NearlyNatural made decorating this porch so quick and easy.
Our weather has been pretty gloomy that last couple of days with a cold front moving into the South, so our twinkling lights on the front porch have kept it looking bright and festive.
This last Summer, we re-stained our front door and added the gold address decals, as well as the brass kick plate. The dark stain and gold letters make the door such a great focal point for the decorations.
I think we got the perfect shots of Miss RubyLou dressed in her holiday finery, even though she wasn’t completely thrilled about modeling. But like I stated earlier, she’ll do anything for a Cheerio!!
Merry Christmas,
Cindy

I love seeing Ruby Lou. Mini Schnauzers are the best dogs ever!
Your entryway is beautiful! I ordered two nearly natural boxwood topiaries right after your fall post about them, and I love them. We put white lights on them for Christmas and they look very nice. I think I told you I had some small topiaries from Pier One that were disintegrating. Such an improvement!! I am especially loving your garlands adorning the door and sidelights. The red and gold ornaments are stunning!! That might have to be the next item on my list. And last but certainly not least! Ruby Lou steals the show! She is the Queen of the House!! Merry Christmas to you all!!
Thank you so much, Beth! Merry Christmas to you and yours!!
The porch is beautifully decorated and Miss Ruby Lou is adorable! Schnauzers are very easy to train, I’ve had 2 and they are the best breed. Where did you get your door mat? I love it!
Thank you, Jeanine! The door mat is from Ballard Designs!
Oh my goodness RubyLou in her Santa hat is perfect. Thank you for Cheerios hint. Going to try them. Your front porch is lovely. Thanks for sharing.
Merry Christmas, Cherry!
