Hi Daniele! Unfortunately, I don’t have any. I would suggest looking on eBay. I hope this helps!
Dear Cindy, I’ve just found your site and being a lover of country French style I am just eating it all up! Thank you for all the time and care you’ve put into sharing your passion. I’m in love with the soft grey colour in your Grand Foyer reveal, which colour did you use? With Kindest Regards, Elaine xo
Hi Elaine! Thank you so much for following along! The color used in the foyer is Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray! ❤️

Thank you so much, Jeri! We’ll be happy to sign you up for our emails!
Cindy, I saw your petite powder room remodel on Pinterest. I love the Carey Lind Cloud Nine wallpaper! I have searched the internet for it and there are a couple colors that look close to your wallpaper. Can you tell me what color you used? Thanks so much!
Hi Nicole! The pattern/color number is NN7304! I hope that helps!
Thank you so much for the response! You did a beautiful job in your petite powder room! I thought this would be the perfect wallpaper for my commode room to tie in a ceiling I painted a shade of blue in the adjoining bathroom. In case anyone else asks you about the wallpaper I thought I would let you know that I am told it is now discontinued. Keep up the good work! So glad I came across you on Pinterest…love seeing your decorating!
Would you please send me the Business name and address in Mobile, AL of the monthly estate sales you are referring to in the current email I received. Thank you so much and have a wonderful summer! C Taylor
Charlotte, here’s the link to their Facebook page which will have all of the information: https://www.facebook.com/OldeMobile
Hi. I saw you had on Ebay for sale a Gien France Mulberry Tea Set. I have Gein France Raven Blue Floral Scalloped Tea Set. Would you be interested in it. Regards Des
Do you have a store in Daphne, AL?
Hi Barbara! Unfortunately, we don’t have a store in Daphne. At this time, we are only selling online.
Hi I ordered 2 items and I never received them. Thank you
Alissa, I have sent you a message through Etsy about this order. Please check your Etsy messages.
You had some bluish aqua candelabras. Do you still have them? Are they for sale? I think they were a pair. If you want to sell them can you send me a picture? Please let me know. I love your website and decor. Congratulations on your new home! God Bless!
Hi Billie! Unfortunately, the candelabras have sold.
Do you think you could find some similar? Or find some candelabras and paint them? Thank you.
We’re always looking for vintage/antique candelabras. I will be glad to message you if we find something similar.
Hi, can you confirm if you sold some wall hanging rosary beads
Hi Teresa! We only have one antique French wall rosary available. Here’s the link: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1095270363/antique-french-lourdes-wall-rosary-large?click_key=5245ae6804d84dbdb1cb1619a8e848b4cfd6d735%3A1095270363&click_sum=494341a3&ga_search_query=rosary&ref=shop_items_search_1&cns=1&sts=1
How can I subscribe to your blog would love to enjoy your posts
Lynda, I will be glad to add you to our subscriber list! Thank you!
Please advise as to how I can re-subscribe to your blog – for some reason I have been deleted after years of subscribing .
Thank you Cindy – I’m starting to have withdrawal pains!!
Hi Ruth! I just added you to our newsletter subscription! Thank you so much!
Cindy – thanks for adding me back to your newsletter subscription – unfortunately it didn’t work !! I still am not receiving anything from you ??? Anyone else have the same problem ???
Ruth, I just checked our newsletter list and it shows that you are subscribed. The last newsletter we sent our was on 12/24/21. Did you receive that one?
Correction from my last post. In 2018 you had indicated that it had been five years that you had owned the Ektorp sofa. Do you still enjoy them? Are they holding up well?
Hi Sherrie! Yes, we still love our Ektorp sofas! I’ve bought a set of new slipcovers, and they still look great!
Hi Cindy-I always enjoy reading your blog and seeing what beautiful decor you have. I recently acquired a set of the altar candle holders you collect. I love they don’t quite work anywhere in my home (outside of the fall season) because of the color. I can’t even tell what they are made of, they’re like a cross between ceramic and resin. I don’t want to ruin them by painting them the wrong way or color. I would love to send you a photo and see if you might offer any suggestions. Thank you and keep doing what you do! Janet
Hi Janet! Send your pictures to edithandevelyn@gmail.com. I will see if I can help!
I recently read an article about Edith and Evelyn in the French Country magazine. On one page was a beautiful bed pillow with a script Bonne Nuit. Is it available for sale?
Mary Hilgendorf
Hi Mary! I originally purchased the pillow from Ballard Designs, however it is no longer available. There are several sellers on Etsy that offer something similar though. I hope this helps!
I need to check on the statis of an order. Please contact me, I have the order # and confirmation #.
Beverly, the order is scheduled to ship by 08/25/21.
Hi Cindy, I have a question for you. I’m looking at your post about the French blue dresser and will be using it as a guide for redoing a bed frame for my daughter. Her bed frame is plain and simple, no embellishments of any kind. I have 7 days to finish before I leave on a 3 week trip. Have you any quick and simple ideas to add character to a plain Jane bed frame? Thanks for any help you can share with me.
Hi Diane! You’ll be surprised that just painting the bed frame will add so much character. You could add some furniture mouldings, but I think if you paint and then add pretty bedding, it will be fabulous!
I would like your advice/ideas. I love both rustic pottery and china (vintage and new). Is there a way to incorporate both into my decorating? Do you ever do this? Does it work? Your input would be much appreciated.
If you are interested I have a reproduction of. Mora Swedish clock that I currently have for sale. It is battery operated, in beautiful condition. I can send you pictures if interested. It is currently listed at an Antique consignment shop. I contacted a dealer in England and gave me an estimate on its worth. I am very firm on the price. If your interested let me know. Thank you.
Hi Donna! Unfortunately, I have four Mora clocks at the moment so I don’t really need any more!
First and foremost my thoughts and prayers are with you for healing and peace. God bless you. Please enter my name for the Sacred heart replica giveaway, thank you.
Found your page from Pinterest through your gorgeous antique French dining table! We have the exact same one!! We live in the South of England. Can you tell me any more about it? We bought ours from eBay 4 years ago as I wanted a massive dining table. How do you dress yours? Have you ever found a table cloth to fit it!??
Hello Cindy,
Your renovations at your house is beautiful. I would like to discuss your painting techniques.
If you can give me your business number so I can get a full understanding about your country french design
to interface with my existing furniture. I just purchased a home and would like to paint kitchen cabinets and do the similar
design in my powder room. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you. Susan….
I just finished one of your beautiful pumpkins. It was so fun to make. I have a question for you- I like the way the gold looks like it has a wash over it- darker in the crannies- did you do another layer of something on top of the gold?
My mind is racing as to what other projects I can cover with these wonderful molds! Thank you for the tutorial!
All the Best,
Kathryn Dirks
That’s wonderful, Kathryn! I did not go over the gold with another layer, I just lightly gilded the raised areas on the mouldings, leaving the recessed areas darker. I hope this helps! These molds can be quite addictive!
Hi Cindy!
I am interested in your Angel sitting on a dresser that you just posted on instagram with a lovely couple of mirrors behind her. She has a necklace draped around her. I think I saw the same ( ? ) angel on the floor of your shop. Is this item for sale? If so is it made of concrete? S this might make shipping to Texas too expensive. Thank you in Advance! Love all you do
Hi Nancy! It’s two different angels. The one sitting on the dresser is not for sale. The one that you see in the shop is for sale. It’s made out of solid cement and is pretty large, so unfortunately I can’t ship it.
Nancy, I completely forgot that we also have another angel at the shop that we can ship! You might be interested in this one:https://www.etsy.com/listing/821640521/fab-cement-praying-angel-statue?ref=shop_home_feat_2
Cindy – Do you ever post items for sale from your antique mall space? For those of us too far from your location it would be great if we had the opportunity to shop there also. Enjoy your blog posts so much…please keep them coming!!
Hi Kathy! Yes, I have many buyers that purchase over the phone! If you see an item that you’re interested in, you can call the shop at 251-476-0309. They can take care of the transaction for you! If it’s a piece of furniture, my buyers arrange their own shipping through Uship.com. If it’s a small piece, we can ship for you for a small fee. We also have an online shop and we would love for you to visit us there: https://www.etsy.com/shop/edithandevelyn
Hi Cindy, I am missing your French Country Friday segment. Have you given up on that for now? I love following your blog and I await with great anticipation when you find your new digs. Thank you for all of your wonderful inspirations.
Patti
Hi Patti! We’re taking a break from FCF for now. We have a lot going on with our online shop, and our middle son is getting married in November, so things are a little hectic! I’ll still be blogging along the way though, so please stay tuned!
Do you have a store near Fairhope? I’m going to visit my daughter there…
Hi Julie! We have a booth in Antiques at the Loop in Mobile!
Did you have to remove the crown moulding on your ceiling?
Hi Brenda! No, we didn’t remove the crown moulding. We just butted the planks right up to the crown moulding and then caulked if there were any gaps.
Hi Cindy, I have a french table like you just bought, and LOVE it. OMG is your blue chest for sale now??? The one you had at your last house, that has the romance painting in the middle? Please let me know if it is available?
Hi Jackie! The little French chest with the painting in the middle has already sold!
I saw that you were selling the paniterre in your shop. I remember when you bought it, and loved it. Yes, I am interested, if it is for sale.
Thank you and God bless.
Hi Cindy,
I wish you lived in VA and could come to my house! I just found your site after seeing the “ugly French chair” you transformed and love everything about it! I want to try something similar at some point. For now, I will enjoy yours! I also love the chunky loop rug that is shown in several of the pictures. Could you give me any information for finding a rug like yours?
Thank you,
Joann Kochenderfer
Thank you, Joann! The rug is the braided jute rug from Ballard Designs!
Please add me to your email list. I love your ideas!
We have added you to our subscriber list! Thank you so much, Mary!
Where are you located? Or do you only sell online
Hi Cathy! We sell online at http://www.etsy.com/shop/edithandevelyn, and we are getting ready to open up a space in the beautiful Antiques at The Loop in Mobile, AL!
Please add me to your email list. I love your postings and collect country French pieces.
Thank you, Rhonda! Will add you to our subscriber list!
Hello, I enjoy your posts very much! This is a silly question, but is there a fee for subscribing to your blog?
Thank you,
Janet T.
Hi Janet! There is no fee for subscribing!
Hello Cindy, I love following you on Instagram, and receiving your emails. Could you please tell me where the monthly auctions are in Mobile? I live in Mississippi not far from Mobile, and I’d love to attend one of the auctions one day. Thanks so much!!
Hi Laura! The monthly estate sale in Mobile is at Olde Mobile Antiques. They have a Facebook page and always post sneak peek photos every month. It’s definitely worth the drive over from Mississippi!
Happy Holidays! If I am not mistaken, I remember a post about a lamp you called the Three Eves. I can see the lamp in master bedroom post, but not finding any information. Might you direct me in finding information about the lamp? Thank you.
The lamps are called the Three Graces. I don’t have a blog post about them, but you can google “The Three Graces” and it will bring up the history.

I love to shop at Sheppard Street Antiques in Richmond, Virginia, where I live, but I get TONS of inspiration from you!!! Thanks so much!!!
I love your blog!!! I love shopping at The Vintage Peddler in Springfield
Can you tell me where I can purchase the white cow that you have a wreath on his neck? I LOVE this particular one and I have no idea where to find.
Hi Vergie! If it’s the one hanging on the wall in our kitchen, that is actually a sheep, not a cow!
Pretty sure it is a cow maybe cream color? It is sitting on the counter in front of the wooden board. There is a green wreath around the neck (In the sheep picture there is a cheese dairy slab with dome…where the cow head is In the separate pic)
This might be what you are referring to: https://www.etsy.com/listing/703087374/vintage-french-apilco-cow-creamer-france?ga_search_query=cow%2Bcreamer&ref=shop_items_search_1&cns=1
Where are you located?
Hi Sheri! We’re located in Aurora, MO
Hi , how do I follow you and get email notifications ? I just happen to find your site and love it! We are remodeling a registered historical home now it’s 103 years old ! We are decorating the home French.
Hi Tonja! I will add you to our email list! Thank you so much!
Tonja, I see that you are already subscribed to our email newsletter so you should be getting them! If there is a different email, please let me know and I will change the subscriber info.
I hope you can help meI have a French china cabinet Drexel that is painted a yellow (yuck) I want to paint it black but want it distressed with brown wood showing through. How do I achieve that look when it’s already painted? Gel stain?
Hi Terry!Unfortunately, if you are going to distress it after painting black, a small amount of yellow undercoat will show through in some of the areas that you distress. I would suggest stripping the yellow paint off before painting black.
Hi Cindy! I absolutely adore everything in your home and of course love French style décor.. I would love if you could take a minute and give me your valuable opinion please ! I wanted a built in bookcase..so I made one out of billy bookcases from Ikea and used trim to cover the seams in between. I do plan on filling the holes with spackle and I have painted it but it still is not giving me the feeling I get when I look at your French cabinet with the chicken wire! Can you take a look at my photos and give me a suggestion if you don’t mind terribly! I am thinking of painting the back wall a creamy color, then covering it with gold colored chicken wire… what do you think? Any suggestions?
Hi Jessie! I would be glad to take a look! Send the photos to cindy@edithandevelynvintage.com
i saw a teapot with hanging items in a magazine, kind of a windchime thing.i think it was flea market decor magazine, do you have anything like that for sale??????
Hi Karen! Unfortunately, we don’t have anything like this available at this time.
What a wonderful story you just shared about your dealer friend and the remarkable discovery of the beautiful wine storage case. Happy for your find and having this as a sweet reminder of her!
Thank you so much, Beverly!
Hi Cindy, I love all that you do and have a question about adding a chalk paint wash over painted furniture. I tried it but it left brush strokes. Should I have waxed the first coat first? I would appreciate any advice because your painted furniture are always works of art. Thank you!
Hi Karen! Many times, when I use a thin wash over a base coat, I will apply it with a brush, and then wipe some of it back with a soft cloth. If it’s leaving brush strokes, the wash may not be thin enough. Another method I’ve tried is spritzing with water. Apply the second coat full strength (not thinned in any way) and as you apply it, spritz with a thin light spray of water and let it run. Then take a soft cloth and blot where needed. I hope this makes sense!
Didn’t you paint a drop front desk/chest? Could you send me the link to that? Thanks. I wanted to show a friend.
Hi Toni! Here’s the link: https://wp.me/p5Xug9-1Ix
Congratulations to you for your excellent work and ideas! Thank you for being so available. I need advice right away as contractors are working on our place. The big open concept room that has the pickled white ceiling (Minwax), did you put just one coat on? Also it looks whiter between the planks, did you do something to illuminate the spaces between the boards, like caulking or something?
Thanking you in advance Cindy!
Cheryl Scobie
Cheryl920@shaw.ca
We used just one coat. We applied the stain and then wiped back the excess with a soft cloth, which probably left a bit more between the planks.
Cindy,
Your home is absolutely gorgeous! You have influenced many of my purchases that are French inspired. Can you please tell me where you find your tiny crowns? I own some of your bigger ones, but I am so frustrated trying to locate beautiful small ones.
Much appreciated,
Ginger
Hi Ginger! The tiny crowns are so hard to find! The ones that we usually stock are completely sold out. We’re trying to get them back in stock, but currently they are on backorder. I’m still trying to source other tiny crowns, and I’ll be glad to message you if we find some!
Cindy do you ever go on buying trips where your admirers (that would be me) could come along? I love your style so much my entire home has been influenced by you. In fact I just ordered the set of 5 pastel pumpkins to make an arrangement like yours in my wooden dough bowl. Love
Ps. Did you get the painting back?
Hi Kristen! Yes, we have done buying trips in the past where we met with blog friends to shop. We haven’t done any of these trips lately though. We may have to try and plan something! Yes, the painting arrived.
Please add me to your blog. Saw your article in Cottage Journal – French Journal. Loved it!! Especially when I read you are in the Missouri. I live in a small German rural town in St. Charles County in Missouri.
Thank you so much, Carolyn! I have added you to our email list!
Looking for estanier, but, like you, am on a budget. Loved yours, and the price was incredible. Where is your favorite monthly place to sop? Thanks
Hi Gail! My favorite monthly estate sale is in Mobile, AL. It’s held the first weekend of every month. Here is their website: https://www.oldemobile.com
I am searching high and low for a white round covered ironstone butter dish?
Tx
Betsy
Hi Betsy! We’ve had them in our online shop (https://www.etsy.com/shop/edithandevelyn) in the past, but unfortunately we don’t have any currently available.
I love your style and blog. I have dried some of my last year’s hydrangeas and now I need to know the best way to store them for future use. Can you advise me? Thanks for any help you can give me.
Hi Carol! I store my dried hydrangeas in a large tub with a lid. I just place them loosely in the tub so they don’t get crushed. You could also use a large box. I hope this helps!
Hi love your style! I can’t find where to subscribe. So if you could please add me. Thanks. Kay
We added you to our subscriber list! Thank you, and Welcome Kay!
Loved your renovation. I’m in the process now with my
home. What is the name and color of the hardwood
floors you installed in the living area and your
master bedroom?
Love them and I’m stuck because I have 8 foot ceilings
and don want to close in the house.
Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sandra
Hi Sandra! The floors are wide planked, hand scraped oak hardwood. We bought it from a local flooring company.
Please subscribe me to your website. Thanks in advance!
We’ve added you to our subscriber list, Angie! Thank you so much!
hi Cindy I love what I saw posted on pinterest from your post on Sept 23, 2016. Could I please ask where I could get a pillow with Bonne Nuit, just like yours! and also what is the name of the color paint who makes it on the closet Cabnet it’s beautiful. your puppy is so sweet! thanks Nanette
Hi Nanette! The pillow that we have is no longer available, however, Soft Surroundings has one very similar. Here is the link: https://www.softsurroundings.com/p/bonjourbonne-nuit-pillow/. The cabinets in the bedroom are painted in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in color French Linen. I hope this helps!
Could you please subscribe me to your website?I have tried 5 times and it never worked. Thank you in advance 🙂
We just added you to our email list, Lumi! Thank you!!
Please subscribe me to your blog
DearSheryl@aol.com
Done!Thank you!
Please give me your advice for cleaning laminate floors. Thanks.
Deb, I use white vinegar mixed with warm water in a spray bottle. About 50/50 mixture. I just spray it on a section at a time and use a very slightly damp mop….make sure it’s not soaking wet, just slightly damp. When the mop gets dirty, I rinse it and use again. I hope this helps!
Hi there, do you sell the grain sack dining chairs that you have? They are so lovely
Hi Gabriela! We have sold them in the past. However, we currently don’t have any available.
I love the brick under the nook table! Does it create a wobble in the table or chairs? Where did you find a thin brick so that it was the same thickness as your wood floor?
Hi Shelly! The brick floor was original to the house so we did not add that feature. The table and chairs are fine, no wobbling!
Hi Cindy! Happy Belated Birthday! Just wanted to let you know I went to my local Hobby Lobby to get more of the beautiful pale blue toile that you’ve used on a few chairs and pillows, (I’ve used it to re-upholster a few chairs and fell in love with the color and pattern!), and was told that they are discontinuing the pattern!! Eeek! I scooped up all they had, 6 yards, and wanted to let you know to stock up now while you can!! 🙂
Thank you so much, Ashly!!
Hi Cindy, I’m trying to figure out where to get the economy plank ceiling boards that you used to cover your popcorn ceilings? Can you help me out? Thanks! Caroline Beard
Hi Caroline! Some of the Lowe’s stores no longer carry the boards that we used, but they have something very similar. I would check with them, as well as Home Depot. Both places carry a lightweight tongue and groove pine plank that usually comes in a package of 8 boards per pkg.
Please subscribe me to your blog. Love it.
theonlyjoann@yahoo.com. Thank you
Hi Jo Ann! I have added you to our subscription list! Thank you so much!!
Hi Cindy! I stumbled across your blog today and instantly fell in love!! I am slightly obsessed with French Country and adore all your renovations!! In 2016 my husband and I purchased a 1960’s ranch that was very similar to the interior of your home right down to the pink foil wallpaper in your master. Ours was in the dining room!! And like you, we opted to paint over it. We spent a year renovating it and of course I’m still tweaking things here and there. Your style is so similar to mine and I’ve noticed a few things on your blog that I’ve used in our home. For example, the window treatments and throw pillows in your master is the identical fabric from Hobby Lobby that I used to recover a chair in our den!! Seeing your beautiful home and finding similarities in my own reassures me that I’m on the right track to creating my own French Country inspired home!! Thank you so much for sharing your journey with everyone!!
Ashly, thank you so much for your sweet words! I appreciate them so much!
Hi Cindy…Happy Sunday to you! I so very much enjoy your blog…delighted that I found you. Your Master Bedroom is so lovely…you’ve inspired me to move along with finishing up mine which I started awhile ago…and then life got in the way. I have a king size bed and have been shopping for a rug to go under it partially…like yours…exposing the hardwoods. My conundrum: what size rug? Would appreciate your thoughts.
Hi Cari! I’m so glad that you found me!! The rug that we have is an 8′ x 10′. I centered it in the room with the chandelier which placed it about halfway under the bed. This also left a nice amount on each side of the king size bed. I hope this helps! Thank you so much for commenting!
Love your blog on Copper in the kitchen! I connected thru your site and bought several copper pieces along with the cannister set. Been looking for that for a long time! This is 1st time to see your blog and I’m going to love some of your ideas. I live in Florida and am very eclectic in my decor. Have to be as I’ve lived in 7 different homes (most in KY) over 25 yrs…all different styles of architecture….Modern, Spanish Colonial, Cottage, Tri-level, California Ranch, Condo, Apt. so I’ve had quite a bit of furniture/styles to either use or pass on the family. When we moved to FL last year a daughter purchased our “Frank Lloyd Wright” style home. I had to leave behind my Arhaus tile/wrought iron dining table and 6 leather chairs. It didn’t fit into new kitchen. But having seen a copper topped oval table years ago in a show house, I finally have my own.! It is beautiful! I’d send a pic but don’t think I can on your comment site. Anyway you can find pics via google. Love copper since my Mom’s day too…while it has come and gone I’m so glad it’s in vogue again! Thank you for writing about it….your home is beautiful
Deborah, your copper topped table sounds amazing! And I’m so glad that you found us! Thank you so much for commenting and following along!
Hi Cindy,
I am in love with MANY of your pieces, thank you for sharing your site. I love your re-pained blue chest of drawers, wish it was for sale, it is my favorite color. Sigh!
I have to ask you about three things.
First I love your Madonna bust in the same picture as your rose velvet chair. I took a picture of it but don’t see how to attach it. I love her! To clarify, she’s not for sale, correct? Only the two on the online store?
My question next is that I would love to have One. Which one, in your opinion would be easiest for trying to make it look as much like the one in the photos with the rose velvet chair.. to age it? I was going to pick the more dramatic colored one and age it but wanted your opinion.
Next, I am crazy in love with your huge kneeling angel that is in the corner of the photo. Are you able to look for one for me, or large angel statues for the wall as a client of yours?
Question three. I want to purchase the stone looking 27” Madonna and child and was wondering if I got also the Madonna bust if I could put a down on both and make two additional payments? I’m buying a home this week and would like to use your expertise with some projects. How do I set that up? I do have a small resale business that I am starting also and would love to have some items for that too..a lot to ask you I know.. do you give trade pricing?
Please let me know, I am excited to hear back.
Thank you!
Nancy Jones
Nancy, I’m sending you an email!
Hi, Cindy. Would you do an article on what’s a good price for furniture? I look at Craigslist and estate sales, but I don’t know what good values are. I’d appreciate your input on sofas, chairs and such. Thanks.
Oh, Elaine, it all just depends on what part of the country that you’re in. French furniture in my area is pretty inexpensive because there’s not a big market for it. But in other areas, it will command a premium price, so determining what is a good price just depends on where you live. It would be a little difficult to do a price guide. I’m sorry, I know this doesn’t help much.
We did our kitchen in the planks and love it. I wondered if you have used them in a bathroom? We’re concerned about the moisture and if the board warp.
Hi Nita! I would not recommend them in the bathroom unless you have really good ventilation.
Hi Cindy I am very interested in the stencils yo use for the diningroom chairs. Do you sell them? If not could you let me know where I could get a set. I am in Australia in a remote area and nothing like this is available here. Cheers Deirdrie
Hi Deirdrie! We ordered our stencils online at http://www.maisondestencils.com. Hope that helps!
Hi Cindy,
I would like to buy two items and wondered if I bought the first one which is the Mary and baby Jesus statue of I could reserve the large Mary statue with her hand up. I would like the lighter one, and would like to know if you further distressed yours?
I LOVE the large kneeling angel statue in the picture, please(!) can you look for something similar for me??
I would include the photos but don’t see where I can on my comment.
Thank you. I hope to hear back from you and would like to include some other items for my home and shop.
Sincerely,
Nancy
Hi Nancy! If you will go to our online shop: http://www.edithandevelyn.etsy.com, you can message me through the shop and let me know exactly which listings you are interested in.
hello, my name is Asil and I saw your French chest and really felt in love with it. All your pieces are really great and unique. Are you willing to sell this chest? Please let me know if you are. I’m really interested in buying it. Thanks a lot
Hi Asil! Unfortunately, the chest isn’t for sale!
Where are you located in the States? I’m from Canada and love your pieces. My email is kellyljanssen@gmail.com My name is Kelly
Hi Kelly! We are in the Ozarks, in SW Missouri. However, we only sell online at http://www.edithandevelyn.etsy.com
Beautiful, beautiful furniture. It is truly elegant and enduring. It is a pleasure to see your artistry. Elaine Garrison, Fort Worth, Tx.
Thank you so much, Elaine!
Hi Cindy can you tell me where you get your preserved boxwood wreaths from? I ordered one from Ballard’s but it was made cheaply and looked it as well so I returned it. I’m looking for a natural looking preserved boxwood wreath. ThNk you
The ones that I have came from Decor Steals quite awhile ago. We’re actually trying to source them to bring them into our shop.
Hi Cindy,
I believe you had talked about adding french inspired wood applique’s to furniture at one point. If so, could you please tell me your source for these wood appliqués?
Thank you in advance,
Nancy J. Tx.
Hi Nancy! The furniture mouldings that I’ve used in the past are from Efex (though they aren’t wood). Here’s the link: http://www.efexusa.com
I’m also experimenting with making my own moulding….more on that coming soon!
On a previous post you talked about a favorite place to shop in Alabama for antiques and salvage. I believe it was a family owned business close to the Florida line. I can’t remember the name!! I would love to take a trip down, do you know the place I’m referring to?
Hi Vonda! I believe the place you are referring to is Charles Phillips Antiques and Architecturals. Here’s the link to their website: https://www.charlesphillipsantiques.com
Please add me to your distribution list. Jrparsons@carolina.rr.com
Thank you!
We will be glad to add you! Thank you!
Hi Cindy. Just wondering if you’d ever shared a bathroom renovation with us. I’d love some ideas for a cohesive look with the rest of the house.
Hi Patti! We haven’t renovated any of our bathrooms yet….I’m a little nervous about tackling them! But I believe that 2018 will be the year of the bathrooms (there are four of them!), so stay tuned!
Looking forward to seeing your magic. No pressure, lol.
We have a cathedral ceiling without crown molding. I would like to put planking up over the popcorn ceiling and then add the crown molding. Would you suggest putting up the planking first and then adding the crown molding over the planking or putting the crown molding up and fitting the planking to the molding? Thanks for your help!
Put the planking up first, then the crown moulding.
Thanks for the advice! Happy Holidays!
Buenos dias ¿Como podría comprar sus productos desde España? Gracias
Hi I have a 96 year old friend interested in the lamb off white with green underneath it I believe it was cast iron could you give me information on that please and a price thank you Jane
Unfortunately, that piece is no longer available. We do have other lambs available in our online shop. Here’s the link: http://www.edithandevelyn.etsy.com
I’ve been waiting for your ideas on fall decorating this year. Once again, no disappointment there. Everything flows with fall beauty. A place in the house to sit, relax, and take it all in. Of course I’ve visited your pumpkin shopping patch. They become more creative each year with new textiles, colors, and designs. I would love to put together an arrangement similar to yours. I always pass you and your ideas around to all my friends. They love and follow you to. Thanks again for your wonderful and generous giveaways!
Natalee
I have a retail store in Birmingham, AL. I sent you a DM on IG about wholesale on your pumpkins but did not hear from you. Do you wholesale?
Need a source for pumpkins asap, have never see. The one with feathers. Also looking for various sizes, neutrals, perhaps orange.
Thanks,
Jo Ann Milam, owner
Tracy-Barrett Interiors
Hi Jo Ann! I just sent you the information on Instagram message.
Hi Cindy,
Love your style. How do I find your on-line shop?
Thank you, Karen! Our online shop is at http://www.edithandevelyn.etsy.com
Morning Cindy,
Regarding the Giant Moss Balls-I clicked on the link an it says it may have moved. Could you please provide me with the instructions of how they were created?
Thanks ever so much,
Mary
Hi Mary! Here is the correct link to the post: https://wp.me/p5Xug9-nS
Thank you for sharing your paint colors. I “borrowed” from your kitchen colors as a starting point for updating my house. Love SW Snowbound on my kitchen cabinets — it works so great with the revere pewter I had already put on the walls that I decided to not repaint! (I hated the color til then!)
Advice, please. I want to paint my fireplace –do you think your paverstone would work with the SW Creamy walls I have or would it be better to carry the revere pewter into this adjoining room. The bricks go to the edge of a vaulted (ugh, popcorn ceiling).
Hi Mary! So glad you like SW Snowbound! On the fireplace, I think I would use the Revere Pewter. Since you’ve used that gray already, it will give a continuous flow. Hope that helps!
Yes, thanks! Love getting ideas from your home. It’s relieving to see what can be done when we buy from the big box stores and make it our own.
Thanks for the inspirations.
Buongiorno avrei un vessillo della legio marie da vendere se fosse interessata grazie

Cindy thank you for the opportunity to win such an inspirational outdoor magazine on may 26th. I live in hot, dry Texas that is hard to keep a sweet green ambiance. Perhaps some green moss balls in planters could help in my favorite outdoor spot, under an insulated metal roof shielding the harsh afternoon sun. love*.

Cindy,
I am so sorry to hear about your sister. I am adding her to my prayer list. And your family too.
xoxo
Kim whose daughter is in France.
Sweet Kim, thank you so much. Your prayers, and everyone else’s, are keeping us uplifted through these last days.
Looking for vintage beautiful French scale
Best
Wendie
Hi Wendie! We don’t currently have any french scales in stock, we do have an English one that is coming into the shop tomorrow. We’ve had a lot of french scales in the past, but they sell pretty quickly. We are always on the hunt for them so I would recommend keeping an eye on the shop for future listings.
Hi Cindy,
On the website, you show a French bergere chair reupholstered with burlap, antique grain sack , quilt and toile. I am most interest in the name of the company that manufactures the toile. Would you mind telling me the name or source?
Thank you.
Judy
Hi Judy! I bought the toile fabric from Hobby Lobby!
Hi Cindy,
I was just reading your blog about the plank over the popcorn ceiling, I’ve been thinking about doing that in my home but I have an older home with plaster. Can I put plant over plaster?
Hi Nadege! To be honest, I’m not sure if it’s possible to plank over a plaster ceiling. I would recommend consulting a professional.
Hi Cindy!!
I LOVE your blog! I found you on pintrest and am in awe of your transformations!
I have a super random question for you. I am creating a very vintage girly/funky den. The old curtains from your master bedroom would be perfect in this room, believe it or not! Did you by chance keep them? If so, would you be willing to sell them?! If so, would you please email me!?
Thank you so much! You’re doing a fantastic job, so inspiring!
Much love!
Amy
Hi Amy! I wish I could help you, but unfortunately we donated the drapes about a year ago, so we no longer have them. Good luck on your den!!
Just found your site last week!!! Wow, I’m blown away. I love it all!!! Can’t wait to see what you are going to do in your office/study. We’re in the process of closing on a “new” house. It was built in 1977 and never updated. I hope you agree with the adage “imitation is the sincerest of flattery”. My den has medium stained library paneling and I’m thinking about agreeable gray with the minwax stain just on the raised molding. Or the same treatment you did in the kitchen.l with snowbound and stain. I’m planning on doing a sample on some doors we are going to remove. With your wonderful rooms that I’m drooling over, I simply can not go wrong. Thank you for sharing.
Vicki, thank you so much for your sweet comments! Good luck with your renovations!!
Love!!! The color of the paneling in the picture from sheer luxe!!
Thank you Teri!
Just wanted to thank you! We found termites in our home and had to take out the back walls both upstairs and down. I wanted to paint the upstairs den a different color from the green it had been for years. I had to come up with a paint very quickly and thought of your house & your kindness in sharing your choices. I love Agreeable Gray!!! I painted walls and the ceiling. Paint is amazing. The ceiling looked white because of the way the light hits sometimes and gray the other. It is a wonderful shade & appreciate having someone so knowledge to turn to for advice. Thanks. Love your home & all you are doing to make it even more wonderful.
Oh my goodness, Debe, thank you so much! You are too kind! Wow, I can’t imagine having to take out those walls! But I’m so glad that you love Agreeable Gray, it is my favorite paint color, by far! Thanks for commenting!
Hi Cindy, I found your blog through Rhoda @ Southern Hospitality. Just love your use of religious antiques in all your rooms. Now I am on the hunt for similar items and can think of a few that I have passed up at Estate Sales. My first project is to fill a small secretary similar to the one in your living room.
Welcome Jane! Thank you so much for commenting!
What is your flooring made of in your master bedroom and kitchen. Is it reconstituted wood, laminate or real hardwood? Thank you.
Hi Linda! It is engineered oak hardwood, wide plank, with hand scraped finish.
Hi Cindy, I too love French decor. I have been looking for a (or maybe 2) Bergere chair(s) and I don’t care what the condition of the upholstery is as long as it or they have solid structure, as I am also a DIYer. I have scoured flea markets, and been to some estate sales looking for some with no luck so far! If you come across any that you don’t want for yourself please contact me. Thank you, Sue
Hi Sue! Where are you located? There is one specific antique market that I usually find them in, but it’s on the Gulf Coast {Mobile, AL}. If you’re near there, it would be worth checking out!
I love this room. Is the buffalo check duvet from Ballard Designs? You have Ikea listed.
Hi Jennifer, yes, the buffalo check duvet cover and matching shams came from IKEA.
I just purchased the ones from Ballard. Close enough match for me.
Good morning Cindy!
Your home is just lovely! I was admiring your front entry and I love your front door color, could you tell me the paint name and brand?
Thanks!
Michelle
Thank you Michelle! The color is Sherwin Williams Inkwell.
Thank you Cindy!
Hi I was wondering i you could tell me something. I have looked and looked and really haven’t found someone to explain or to show me how to blend colours. I have seen some videos but none with a real good explanation on how to do it. Is what your doing here with this blue dresser the same thing? Please help.
Thank you
Baba
Hi Baba! I don’t really blend colors, I just layer them one on top of the other. The blue dresser has the colors layered. Here’s the link to the post with more details: http://wp.me/p5Xug9-n9
My husband has a cousin by this name & thought he might live in KC. Probably not the same u may know. We are traveling thru Mobile, AL today & think I will ck out those antique shops u suggested! My son lives near there close to another unique town u would love called Fair Hope.
Cindy, I too am from SW Mo & a high school classmate told me about your blog – you have done some amazing things to your home. And what an honor to have your home featured in that beautiful magazine!
Thank you so much Rosie! Are you, by chance, any relation to David Bogart?
Hello…I was wondering if you had a news letter
Hi LisaBeth! Yes we do! Check out the right side of the blog in the sidebar area, right underneath my picture is a “Subscribe by Email” box where you can add your email address, then click “sign up”. You will get a confirmation email asking you to confirm the subscription. If you don’t get it, be sure and check your spam folder. Once you confirm your subscription, you will start getting our newsletters with all the latest posts!
Regarding the Love Feast promotion, if I won, I would select those velvet hearts with the stems! I’ve told all of my friends about them (and your blog!). I would order one for everybody! I love your blog! You know when you find something awesome, it repeatedly draws you back? That happiness is from your blog!! Thank goodness I happened upon it thru Pinterest – Connie
Thank you Connie! You are too sweet, I really appreciate you following along!
Dear Cindy, Could you let me know about the plate with standing sheep? Would love to purchase it or craft it.
Hi Pam! Here is the link to the post, showing how we made the sheep display! https://edithandevelynvintage.com/2015/06/02/diy-sheep-decor/
Hi Cindy,
I just discovered you on IG and now I was able to catch up with your renovation through your blog!! LOVE your style. I am from SW MO also and we built our “dream home” French country style a little over two years ago. The decorating has been a challenge because a true decorator is either too expensive or just doesn’t get the “French county” style I’m looking for. Therefore, I truly enjoyed finding your IG because your style was exactly what I was looking for.
We vaulted our living/kitchen ceiling with wood planks and my husband white washed it by hand with a sheep skin rag!!!! Stress, but LOVE the look.
Our walls are painted in SW mindful gray and SW dove white for all trim.
I would love to get your input if I sent you some photos of the kitchen/living area –am in need of rug advice and I DO love your jute rug.
Thank you for sharing your lovely home. I will look forward to the continued renovation.
Jan
Thank you Jan! Would love to see some photos! Send them to cindy@edithandevelynvintage.com
Hi Cindy,
I love your blog and your home, it is just beautiful! I am going to the Alabama Coast on a vacation and in a post you had mentioned that you loved antiquing down there. I was wondering if you could share some spots that you love to shop in. We will be around the Gulf Shores area but will make day trips around the whole area.
Thank you Mackenzie! Mobile, AL is my fave picking spot in that area. A must see is Olde Mobile Antiques Gallery. If you happen to be there on the first weekend of the month, they have a monthly estate sale that is a must! Fabulous prices and a huge variety of vintage and antiques. It’s always first weekend, starting at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. The other place that I absolutely love in the Mobile area is Charles Phillips Antiques and Architecturals, open every Fri. and Sat. Be prepared to spend some time there!
Thank you! We will be there during the first weekend of the month so I will definitely have to give that one a try. Thank you again for sharing some of your spots!
Hi Cindy,
I am redoing my half bath and am in love with the idea of using a lavabo, but am having a hard time finding one. Where do you find yours? Thanks!
Hi Gabrielle! I found my lavabo in Mobile, AL at an antique importer that brings containers in from Europe. They are definitely hard to find. Have you looked on Ebay?
Hi Cindy, I just discovered you have a blog and am so excited. I love your shop and have purchased many things from you. I love the cherub candle holders on your family room wall. Are those antique finds or maybe Wisteria ??!! I love your home and what you have accomplished. It is just my style. Enjoy your week-end Hugs, Kathy
Thank you Kathy! So glad you found the blog! The sconces are reproductions, not antique. I actually found them at an estate sale quite awhile back, but they are not old. They were originally wired for lights, but I love the look of flickering candles, so I gutted the electrical and topped them with Luminaire, battery operated, flickering candles. Thanks for following along!
Hi Cindy, I just read your May 18th entry and saw your vase of peonies sitting on top of those darling little lambs! I couldn’t help but fall in love with them and was wondering if you wouldn’t mind sharing where you found them? Love your blog, Cindy!
Thank you Patricia! We actually have a blog post coming up {hopefully on Monday} that shows how those precious lambs came about! Stay tuned!
Hello Cindy
I just found your blog and I love your home and all your wonderful renovations! Would you mind telling me about the 2 gold lamps you have in your dining room on either side of the gilt and green mirror? Are those antique finds or did you purchase them new? I have been looking for some lamps and something like those would be perfect.
Thank you so much
LeighAnn Wood
Hi LeighAnn! Thank you so much for your kind words! We actually found these lamps at an estate sale several months ago. I don’t believe they are very old. I just checked to see if there was any kind of label on them as to a source, unfortunately there wasn’t. Sorry, wish I could have helped!
