Well, Cindy, this is another example of how you could be my alter ego. This post is one of my favorites. I lived in Memphis and Houston, and I, too, have wanted a Butter slab for eons. I have yearned for a repo from England that I pinned as one of my first pins on Pinterest. Like many of your readers, I would display it under a cloche with my marmalade crock with antique spoons in it, a small stack of bread and butter plates. I could go on and on, but I fear that is all the room there is on the butter slab. I would change it out for the seasons with a few things to harken to the appropriate time of year…….blue bird eggs and nest for spring, greenery or shells and a small flag for Summer, small bird nest with small pinecones and natural leaves for Fall, bottle brush trees and candy canes for Winter……Oh, don’t even get me started….there are lots and lots of ideas and combinations swirling in my head! Let me just say that I adore the slabs…all of them except margarine….as I don’t think there was such a thing in Europe. The Bible verse reference is the perfect analogy for the slabs. Clearly, he is using a God-given talent and is intentional in his witness. I would love to be the recipient of the giveaway but will most likely have to have one anyway.
All the best to you and your readers.
