Estate sale shopping is one of my favorite ways to find vintage and antique pieces!
Shopping at estate sales is one of my favorite ways to find one of a kind and unusual vintage and antique pieces. If you’ve followed me for awhile, you know that one of my favorite estate sales is held monthly in Mobile, Alabama.
This past weekend, this estate sale was held and I thought you might enjoy seeing a small sampling of some of the amazing pieces that caught my eye.
You know I’m a bit obsessed with French chairs, so this beauty on the right immediately grabbed my attention! The chair on the left isn’t bad either, but I’m really drawn to the other one with that gorgeous carving in the wood, and I even like the upholstery.

Anything that is Italian and gilt will get my attention, such as this pair of Italian wall sconces! The gilding on the metal has perfect patina, and the pink porcelain roses are the icing on the cake!
I can see them hanging on each side of a gorgeous mirror or a painting framed in a gilt wood.

What a sweet Louis XV French cabinet! It has such amazing detail! Where would you use this?

This monthly estate sale is held in a very large building and there are rows upon rows of goodies, such as this gorgeous vanity mirror with cherub detail.
This would be so pretty on a dining table or sideboard showcasing a pair of beautiful candlesticks.
As you can see in the photo, the tables are covered with a wide variety of vintage and antique pieces, and this sale has one of the largest selections I’ve ever seen.

If you’re in the market for antique furniture, the selection here is the best! There’s such a large variety of styles and periods, there’s something for everyone.
What I spied in this picture is the petite French chest with the marble top. It would be perfect as a bedside chest or sitting by a pretty French chair in the living room.

You can see in this photo how vast the building is. It takes awhile to get through it and look at everything.
This pair of brass lamps caught my attention. They would be gorgeous on a sideboard. I love the wrapped ribbon design on the column, and the bases are so unusual. Add a rectangular linen shade, and they would perfect, and definitely one of a kind.

This is such a pretty pair of chairs! I love the creamy painted finish on the wood, and the upholstery looks like it’s in really great shape. Finding a pair is always a plus!

The walls at this sale are covered in artwork of all genres, original paintings, prints, and engravings.
There’s also a multitude of stunning mirrors and gorgeous antique clocks.

This is such a beautiful cabinet! It’s so unusual, and immediately makes me wonder about it’s history. It looks like it has a story to tell!
I think it would be gorgeous in a large master bath, with white towels stacked inside. If it were mine, I would want to paint it and gild all those gorgeous details to bring them out.

This is such a stunning French clock. I don’t even care if they work or not. They are such beautiful works of art, and they will always add such an iconic French look to a room.

Another pair of chairs! I really love everything about this pair! The caning, the carved wood, and the painted finish, not to mention the gilt accents. They are swoon worthy!

This pair of antique brass altar sticks are fabulous! They have the perfect patina that’s only achieved from a century of use. Patina like this just can’t be duplicated in newer pieces.

This monthly estate sale has been going on for years, and I’ve attended it since their beginning. When we lived in Missouri, we even traveled every month to shop there. It’s the best I’ve ever been to, because it’s so large, and there’s such a wide variety of items. You never know what you are going to find! I have bought so many things from there!
I hope you’ve enjoyed getting a little peek at some of the offerings that were available at this month’s sale! Do you attend estate sales in your area?
Sadly, not all of these things came home with me, but I did bring home a few goodies that went into our online shop! If you would like to know more about this monthly sale, click HERE! And if you decide to attend this amazing sale one day, be sure and get there early because things sell very quickly!

Ready to go shopping. What a great place to shop. Thx for sharing your finds.
Oh Cindy! What finds! I do love estate sales in my area and do attend several every week, especially during the winter time. Over the last few weeks I have found some lovely chairs, an old mirror, old books, a picnic hamper, icons, Wedgewood and a new old set of Johnson Bros dishes! I just love rummaging through stuff to find that treasure! I would love to go to that sale with you! How do you find the prices?
High? Thanks for sharing.
Lina, your treasures sound amazing! I agree with you, my favorite thing to do is searching through stuff to find that one amazing piece! You never know what you’ll find! The prices at this monthly estate sale is pretty good! There are $1.00, $3.00, $5.00, $10.00, and $25.00 sections and then a lot of items that are priced individually which are usually the nicer antiques.
Can you please put me on your mail list. I am interested in a pair of French chairs.
