I first found Anita Joyce’s blog, Cedar Hill Farmhouse, several years ago, I immediately fell in love with her easy French style. Every time her latest blog post would appear in my inbox, I would excitedly click over to get inspiration for my own home.
I was so excited when Anita wrote a home decor book, called “French Accents, Farmhouse French Style for Today’s Home”.
This is one of the most beautifully put together home decor books that I have ever seen!
Not only is it filled with page after page of stunning photos, but it also offers easy, practical, and down to earth suggestions for achieving an authentic French look in your own home.
Anita has a flair for French decorating, and it shows within the pages of French Accents, with chapters on “Where to Shop”, “How to Paint & Distress Furniture”, “Putting it All Together”, and many more.
As I’ve been reading through my own copy, I’ve been so impressed with the ideas, suggestions, and tutorials for achieving the French look. It’s so well written and informative, that it makes incorporating French style into your own home very accessible, no matter what your budget may be.
Anita has inspired me, and so many others, with her charming French style and “French Accents” is one book that you will reference time and time again.
I have been honored to be included in the book review tour for “French Accents”, and I can honestly tell you that this is already my favorite book on French decorating. And I know it will be yours too!
French Accents is a gorgeous coffee table book, and would also make a wonderful gift for a fellow Francophile!

I will have to read this!!!
I love beautiful decorating books and often look back through the ones I’ve collected over the years. It’s interesting to me how some styles really do stand the test of time. This book looks like I’d be able to reference it again 10 years from now!
Thanks for introducing it to us!
I agree Leslie Anne, this book is so well designed and put together, it will as relevant 10 yrs from now as it is today. It’s a beautiful book!
Cindy,
I don’t know where to start. What a wonderful review. I am truly the one who is blessed to know you.
Anita, it was an honor to review your amazing book! It is so well written and the photography is beyond beautiful!
Waiting for your book. Look forward to your next room refill. Everyone so far has been absolutely beautiful. Please may we have a book!
You are too kind Debra, thank you so much. That means so much to me!
A Beautiful book! Thanks Cindy. When you say you and the other bloggers are on the book tour – where will the book tour be travelling?
Thanks!
Thank you Patti! The book will be “touring” the blogs shown on the graphic, now through, Sept. 30th.
I received my copy this week and although I haven’t been through all of it, I love every page that I have read. It has beautiful photography and wonderful tips and instructions. I agree with you Cyndi, this is a definite favorite “French” book in my collection.
It’s my favorite too Deborah!
Cindy, this is an excellent review! I bought Anita’s book a couple of weeks ago! I love it! What a great writer and photographer. This is one of the most comprehensive easy to read decor books that I’ve picked up in a long time. I’m spreading the word to all the small decor shops that I frequent in Michigan to spread the word about her book. It’s a lovely and practical book that graces my french cabinet in the living room along with my other hardcover decor books. This one is my favorite!
I agree, it’s very well put together, easy to understand, and wonderful suggestions and “how to’s” on creating the look in your own home, no matter the budget.
Cindy….great review….Anita hit it out of the park with this book!!!
Yes, she did, Shirley! It’s a wonderful book!
