French Country Decorating
I hope you are doing well on this beautiful Spring Friday. We’ve been staying in as much as possible and only going out periodically for the necessary groceries. This is such an unusual time in our history, and it’s been challenging to stay busy and not go stir crazy! But we’re getting lots of projects done, taking long walks, doing some reading, and we’ve binge watched several Netflix series! I will be so glad when the quarantine is over and we can get back to some kind of normalcy.
How are you staying busy during the “stay at home” order? What shows are you currently watching? I need something new to start!
Today is French Country Friday where my French loving friends and I are sharing our French Country decorating! Enjoy!

Maison de Cinq | French Vintage Spring Dining Room

Hello Cindy,
I’ve missed your postings the past month or so.
When will you be sending out your Friday blog again?
Hoping you and yours are well and staying safe during this unprecedented time.
Thanks,
Annette
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
I would really love to know the blue color used on the buffet please?? And I love the last pic of French dining set ❤️

Hello – First I must say how I look forward to the Friday emails. Your site is just full of fresh ideas for the French Country style. I am planning to use some of the suggestions in my own home. Second – You asked for suggestions about TV shows. My husband and I have subscribed to Acorn TV through our cable provider. We especially love the Murdoch Mysteries which features Toronto, Canada Detective Murdock – an innovative forward thinking individual who uses more scientific techniques when police procedures were very different in the 1900’s. The second series is Midsummer Murders which is an English based detective program set in a more rural English countryside. Detective Barnaby is the principal chief detective. Fun series to watch. There are other shows like Agatha Christie and Poirot.
Thank you, Susan! I will check them out!
Hey Cindy,
Like all other people around the world, we are coping with this shelter in place. Bedsides gardening, I have also been watching Netflix and reading some neglected (dusty) books.
The latest viewed series on Netflix is called The English Game. Created by Julian Fellows, it is set in the UK in the late 1800’s, following the beginning of the professional football (soccer) teams. Besides the historical aspects of the sport, the clothing, homes, and social divisions are interesting. A recommended watch!
Take care. Always enjoy your Friday decorating ideas!
Thanks for the suggestion, Annette! I will have to check The English Game out! Stay safe!
