Happy Friday, dear friends! Happy French Country Fridays, that is!
There’s so much going on around our house this week! We are gutting the laundry/mud room and the small bathroom that is just off the kitchen and laundry room. Both rooms are very dated and the bath is a tiny space so it’s definitely going to be a challenge. If you didn’t see our post where we shared our inspiration for this space, you can see it HERE. We are close to 75% finished with renovating our vintage home, and I am so happy about that……I think hubby and I are experiencing “renovation fatigue”. And so is my wallet! From here on out, every room will have to be renovated on a shoestring. Hopefully I can work some DIY magic on these two rooms!
For this week’s edition of French Country Fridays, my friends and I are sharing all kinds of French inspiration. You will see master bedroom transformations, the cutest curtains, a summer kitchen tour, and so much more! We’re so glad you’re here! So grab your favorite beverage, find a comfortable spot, and enjoy!

Can you tell me if you lined your drop cloth curtains? They look much more expensive than some of the other sites I’ve seen! Just beautiful. Would you mind walking me through your process? Did you dye them, or wash them first? Did you do any sewing at all? Thanks so much! I love your site!
Hi Melody! Some drop cloths are thinner than others. I always try and buy the heavier weight drop cloths. I do wash the drop cloths and soak them in bleach before using. I like them a little bit lighter than they come in the package. I try really hard to not do any sewing! If the drop cloths need hemming, I usually use fabric glue and hem them with it. I hope this helps!
