The master bedroom is all dressed for Christmas and we would love to give you a tour!
The master bedroom is finally dressed for Christmas! Last year was the first year that I had ever
decorated our bedroom and I ended up loving it, so I definitely wanted to add some Christmas
spirit to it again this year!
When we bought our home, we found an old abandoned tree in the attic, and last year I decided to
flock it and use it in the master bedroom for Christmas.
It turned out to be such a pretty tree, so I decided that I would use it again this year.
I placed it inside a large vintage basket that I’ve had forever, and it makes the perfect container for
the tree.
A lot of the flocking had remained on it from last year, and I didn’t add anymore this time, instead
opting to let a bit more of the green in the branches show.
I used a lot of gilded ornaments this year, silver and gold, some frosted and some clear, and many
with glitter.
I also added sticks from the yard, that I spray painted with metallic gold paint, randomly sticking
them into the tree, as well as tucking dried hydrangeas among the branches.
I had an urn filled with these dried hydrangeas sitting in the bedroom, and when I started removing
them to make room for the Christmas decor, I wondered how they would look sitting among the
branches of the tree. I love how they look!
Our bedroom is a nice large size with beautiful windows, making it the perfect setting for a tree.
I added garland across the top of the bed with pretty twinkling lights. I love real pine garland, but
it can make a mess, and since I didn’t want pine needles down inside my pillows, I opted for faux
garland instead.
I picked up some faux fur pillows and a throw, a few weeks ago, and they look wonderful on the
bed. They make me think of snowy weather.

The bedside tables were decorated with miniature sparkly trees.
They add a bit of glam without being over the top. And the best part, is that you don’t have to
decorate them, just sit them in a perfect spot and you’re done.
I did add fresh garland over a large frame on one side of the room.
Twinkly white lights were woven throughout the branches, and then I added old vintage crystals
for a bit of vintage bling. I love the smell of fresh pine.
Most of the pieces in this room are vintage and their old finishes have acquired a beautiful patina
over time, which looks wonderful against a backdrop of white lights and crystals.
Bringing a little Christmas cheer to a room is easy just by adding greenery, white lights, and
glittery ribbons to your presents.

This is definitely my favorite room in the house this year.
We put timers on all of the lights so that as soon as the sun starts going down, the soft, twinkling
lights come on.
It’s so pretty looking in from the outside.
Now, all we need is a pretty snowfall…..to make this picture complete!
Someone has been extra sweet this year, and she’s hoping Santa is going to fill her stocking with
bones and toys.
I told RubyLou not to worry, Santa wouldn’t forget her this year!
She’s too cute in her Santa suit!
I hope you have enjoyed our tour of the master bedroom, all dressed for Christmas!
I want to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas, from our home to yours!

Your bedroom is stunning. I love your baby RubyLou. You may have posted this earlier but where did you get your bedcovering? We have a sleep number bed that is two twin beds that are also craftmatic (I guess — anyway they both move up and down separately). And to top that off, it is pretty tall. I can’t use a dust ruffle because the mattresses are attached to the bed frame. It’s so wide and tall that I don’t have a clue what to do. Any suggestions?
Hi Jayne! The bedspread came from Annie Selke, and I love it! I have wanted one of these ruffled bedspreads for a long time but could never find one long enough that would cover the full length of our oversize mattress. Your bedroom looks so pretty dressed for Christmas! Now I see where your Scandinavian Pink table ended up! (I wondered when I saw it wasn’t in your foyer in that post)! I know you said you were going to paint the new armoire that was in your room in that spot – now I’m wondering where that will end up!! …and here I thought I was the only one who moved my furniture around all the time!! LOL!!
Ruby Lou is adorable!!

Cindy…your bedroom dressed for Christmas is Merry, Bright, and Exquisite!…I so remember the story of the tree. You brought the tree back to life and gave it elegance and grace! I got away from placing a tree in my bedroom, and you inspired me to do one next year! Love the table that you repainted the rose color in your bedroom. Can’t wait to see where the other piece landed. Merry Christmas to you and your family! Hope RubyLou gets everything on her Santa list! Hope your hand is getter better each day too!
Thank you Shirley! Merry Christmas!
