Creating a special place on our Fall porch!
There’s a special corner on our screened porch where I love to sit on these gorgeous Fall mornings and evenings. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy my morning coffee and then a glass of wine in the evening, watching the sun go down.
Autumn has always been my favorite season. There’s something so beautiful about watching the trees turn different shades of glorious colors. I adore absolutely everything about the Fall season, especially wearing sweaters, fires in the fireplace, college football, pumpkin bread, the crispness in the air, and so much more!
Here in the Deep South, Fall doesn’t last very long so I try to savor every moment of it with a lot of time spent on our screened porch.
There’s a little corner of the porch where I usually sit with a cozy blanket and revel in the crisp air as I enjoy my morning coffee. I’m usually an early riser, so sitting out here and listening to the world wake up is a wonderful way to start the day.
I recently decorated “my corner” with a beautiful potted mum and a few pumpkins, but the focal point has to be the faux boxwood topiary from NearlyNatural.
NearlyNatural has the most amazing faux trees, plants, and flowers inspired from nature, with a huge collection to choose from.
I have such a weakness for boxwoods in general, and I especially love topiaries.
Unfortunately, since I have a brown thumb, I’ve never been able to grow real potted boxwood topiaries. I kill them every single time, and they are quite expensive.
The perfect solution is this gorgeous faux 4′ boxwood spiral topiary. It’s UV resistant so it’s perfect for outdoors, but would also be stunning displayed inside the home.
The topiary comes in a small pot, but when it arrived, I decided to place it in a large urn that I already had, elevating it’s height a bit more. I love that the trunk looks very real!
I’ve used NearlyNatural faux topiaries before throughout our home, as well as outside, and they last for years.
I have two of them flanking our front door that I love, and I’ve had them for over three years! They are resistant to weather so they look as good today as they did the day I got them.
Faux topiaries are ideal for achieving the classic look without worrying about killing a live plant!
After I placed the topiary in the large urn, I added preserved moss and moss balls in different sizes around the base. I have plans to add miniature white lights to it for the holidays, which will create such a pretty ambiance on the porch in the evenings.
Our home sits on a golf course, which hubby loves since he’s an avid golfer.
I never thought that I would love living on a golf course as much as he does, but after being here for a year, I’ve realized that I love the ever changing beauty of the course, and there is always something (or someone) to watch!
There’s plenty of wildlife as well, so mornings and evenings get lots of action from a number of species.
There are some beautiful trees on the golf course and I’ve loved sitting on our porch and seeing the changing colors taking place.
Miss RubyLou adores sitting out on the porch every day and watching all of the action as well.
She has to inspect anything that’s new, so she was very curious about the addition of the new topiary.
I couldn’t resist dressing her in the Fall sweater for a few pictures. She’s such a great model and she complimented the colors of the porch perfectly. I think this might be Miss RubyLou’s favorite corner of the porch as well!
I was so happy when NearlyNatural asked me to review this faux spiral boxwood topiary, and I couldn’t be happier with it.
I’m very familiar with this company’s products and know from experience that they last for years and have such a natural look.
Topiaries are ideal for creating a classic and timeless look on a porch, patio, or in the garden. I will definitely be enjoying this beautiful topiary from my favorite corner of the porch for years to come!
Cheers, Cindy

The wall urn is to die for!!! Also, Ruby Lou is the cutest little pumpkin. I just love how she poses for you. She’s adorable. Your porch looks so inviting…I try to spend as much time outside here in Ohio until it turns cold, which will be very soon. we have a large patio with a lot of mature trees, and yesterday my husband raked, but another load has fallen, and although it is beautiful, it’s hard to sit out there when everything’s covered again. I have some large windows in the back that I can look at the glorious colors of the trees from the inside. I am considering purchasing some nearly naturals for my large urns, as the two faux boxwood I had in there were from Pier One and they were trashed. Thanks for this post…it’s hard to know what is a good brand, and I like to go on recommendations from word of mouth, not reviews on line. Thanks a million! Happy Halloween!!!
Beth, you will love the topiaries from NearlyNatural! I’ve used them for years and always been so happy with them!
Love the mornings and evenings outdoors so this would be my spot also. Miss RubyLou is adorable in her Fall sweater. I have several topiaries and boxwoods in my garden and iron urns . Such classic look…
Beautiful corner – I love it! And the trees on the golf course, be still my heart! ❤️❤️
Thanks for the info on the faux topiaries. We have one at our front door (and I keep lights on it!), different brand but I’m so glad to have info on Nearly Natural. I think their product is more realistic than ours. Your decorated corner is beautiful, all the more with Miss Ruby in it. Would love more posts on your porch!
What a lovely view!
Love your faux topiary! I recent bought two real ones like that for my patio, and will see if I can keep them alive. If not, I have an option with faux. I have been following you for years, and as always, your porch corner looks lovely and inviting!
I love the real topiaries, Nancy! I just wish I could keep them alive! I tried for years, but never could get one to live, so these are a great alternative! Happy Fall!
