French style chandeliers are a classic and elegant addition to any home decor. They are known for their intricate designs, graceful curves, and sometimes those sparkling crystal accents. French chandeliers have been popular for centuries, and they continue to be a favorite among homeowners and interior designers. Today, I’m sharing my favorite French style chandeliers on Amazon.
It’s no secret that I love the beauty of a chandelier in any room, especially when it is in the French style. We were lucky that our home already had a beautiful chandelier in the dining room when we bought the home, but there are still some rooms that I want to add new lighting to as we update them.
I’ve been perusing lighting options on Amazon and wanted to share some of the French style beauties that I’ve found!

One of my favorite French style chandeliers on Amazon is this French Country Farmhouse Chandelier. It has nine lights, wood bead strings, and handmade distressed wood.
It’s also very well priced so it’s budget friendly. It’s a larger size so it’s ideal for a dining or living room, or even a bedroom.
When it comes to purchasing a French style chandelier, one of the important factors to consider is the size. It’s essential to choose a chandelier that is proportionate to the size of the room it will be placed in. A chandelier that is too small will look out of place, while one that is too large can overwhelm the space.
A simple way to determine a chandelier size is to add the dimensions of the room together in feet and then convert the answer to inches. The answer in inches should equal the diameter of the fixture. So if your room measures 10′ x 14′ the diameter of the fixture should be about 24″. Here are a few more quick tips:

French Empire style is an architectural and decorative style that emerged in France during the reign of Napoleon Bonaparte (1804-1815).
It is characterized by its grandeur, symmetry, and classical motifs, which were inspired by the art and architecture of ancient Rome and Greece. The style is often associated with the opulence and power of the French Empire, and it was used to decorate public buildings, private residences, and even furniture during the early 19th century.
Some of the key features of the French Empire style include columns, pediments, ornate moldings, and richly decorated fabrics and furnishings.
Another French Empire style chandelier that’s fabulous! Priced at $169.99, it’s a steal! This would be gorgeous hanging in a foyer!
I think this may be my favorite French style chandelier on Amazon. It’s definitely French Country in style with it’s handmade distressed wood, and it’s a great size.
It exudes antique and old world charm, and it’s perfect for a dining, living, or bedroom.
If your style leans a bit toward the Farmhouse style, this chandelier also works perfectly!
A chandelier can add a touch of elegance and grandeur to a home. They are often considered to be beautiful and eye-catching additions to any room and come in a variety of styles, sizes, and materials, so it’s easy to find one that compliments your home’s decor.
Did you know that, during the 18th and 19th c., chandeliers were a symbol of wealth and status? Owning a chandelier was a sign that you had the means to afford such a luxurious item.
I think I’m drawn to this chandelier because of the metal embellishments around the light sockets and at the top of the center column. It reminds me of a crown.
Chandeliers can be a beautiful and functional, adding both light and style.

Last, but certainly not least, is this amazing French Style Chandelier! It’s a large size (29″), has six lights, and is finished in rustic bronze and distressed white wood with antique style wood beads.
All of these have made my list of possibilities for our home. I’m searching for several chandeliers to use in different rooms as I slowly update each space. Amazon has quite a few possibilities and the prices are pretty incredible.
Any room can benefit from gorgeous lighting, and a beautiful chandelier can elevate an otherwise ordinary room. I personally believe that every room should have a chandelier…..even smaller spaces such as bathrooms and larger walk in closets, though hubby thinks that might be a bit excessive! What can I say, there’s things I still need to teach him!
Beautiful lighting can be the “crowning glory” of a room and it’s an excellent way to make a dramatic statement, whether it’s modern or classic. Adding a gorgeous light fixture can turn it into a breathtaking space. Choose a chandelier with your individual style in mind, and with these selections, you don’t have to spend a fortune!
Cheers, Cindy
What a lovely Chandeliers! Its timeless elegance can beautify any home décor.
Awesome post, Cindy! I have a Pinterest board called ” I LOVE CHANDELIERS” and I pinned a few of these. My latest addition was a new one in my dining room called Salento…it is a 6 light rustic white with a few crystals strategically placed, and in my foyer we hung an orbit that is also the rustic white and rubbed bronze shaped like a quatrefoil. My husband was sore because the one that we replaced looked like a Grecian urn (and he loved that!), and it just didn’t complement our new paint color. The changes are a great improvement!!
They sound beautiful, Beth! ❤️
I too, believe every room should have a chandelier! We built our new home & moved in last November, it will be our last home. So hubby has let me do what I want as far as design esthetics. I have vintage chandeliers (brass with all the bling) in my office, pantry, laundry room and over my soaking tub in the primary bath. I ordered a new vintage looking wooden one for our primary bed room, very similar to your favorite. I have one last vintage brass bling chandelier waiting in a box to be hung in our walk in closet. They just add so much warmth to a space. Hubby thinks I’ve over done it, but I just can’t live without them!
Thanks for finding such beauties on Amazon, maybe I need another!!!
Thank you for commenting, Shelley! ❤️
I appreciate your guidance for selecting the appropriate size. My question is – if it’s an open space, kitchen, breakfast area and family room, would you figure the entire room measurement of just the individual area? I’m guessing each area individually.
Hi Marie! You would just configure the individual area. I hope that helps!
It would be difficult to chose my favorite. Really like all of them. Would like to chang3 several of my chandeliers. Thanks for the suggestions.
Thank you for commenting, Cherry!
Cindy, I like your favorite too – next to last with the crown motif. I have a dark metal fixture in the dining room, reminiscent of French style. Is there a gold paint/paste I could apply to give it an antique gold look? If so, what product would you recommend? Thanks!
Hi Ruth! I love Rub N Buff gilding paste. I use it all the time! Here’s a link: https://amzn.to/3qYGzxz
