Yesterday I showed you pictures of one of our favorite places to pick in the South,
today I’m showing some pictures of
a few lovelies we brought home with us!
We were able to pick several different places along the Gulf Coast,
not finding a lot in some spots, hitting the “mother load” in others!
But we did come home with a full SUV…….
and some things are having to come by truck!
We found lots of “flakiness”, turquoise, and blues this time…….which we love!
Lots of religious pieces in old chalkware and plaster, a real weakness for me …….
And we found quite a bit of “frenchy” items, architectural salvage, mustard pots, and
Italian Florentine!
I also found a couple pieces of furniture that came home with me…..
another project…….
but I love frenchy chairs with curvy legs…..so I couldn’t pass it up….
even though hubby was having some deep sighs at the thought…..
It was only $38.00!!!
I had to buy it! It’s going to be fab reupholstered in some antique grain sacks!
But the true pièce de résistance is this….
A part of a Catholic church altar…………
solid oak………
9’7″ tall by 6′ wide……
Look at the carving!!
What am I going to do with it, you ask?
I don’t know but it had to be mine………
after all……..
it was my birthday!
Time to get busy and get this stuff in the shop!
Blessings,
Cindy
Cindy, the altar piece would make a GREAT showcase for your Madonna collection! Love your style so unique we share alot of the same tastes…………
I agree Phillip! It is due to arrive in a couple of weeks! Cant wait to see what statue works with it!
