Fabulous antiques from Southern picking trip!
We just returned from several days of picking in the South! Having lived there for almost 30 years, we know of some fabulous places to “pick” and I wanted to show you some of the beautiful pieces we brought back with us.
We first headed to Georgia to check out Scot’s Antique Market.
This wonderful antique market is held the 2nd weekend of every month and one can find just about anything they are looking for.
Storms blew through on Thursday evening but we woke to beautiful weather on Friday morning for a day of junking!
Vintage and antique goods were as far as the eye could see!
From Georgia, we headed farther South to the Gulf Coast, Mobile, AL.
Some of my favorite places for antiquing is in this part of the world! And it was much like going home! Two of my favorite places is Charles Phillips Architecturals and Antiques, and Olde Mobile Antiques Gallery.
We junked until there was no more room in the SUV, saw old friends, and ate some wonderful Southern food!
We found some amazing pieces, some that I am going to have a hard time selling!
We left the deep South behind and headed back to the Ozarks through Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
It was so much fun, but also nice to get back home.
Today will be a day of unpacking everything, getting it ready to go into our online shop, as well as catching up on orders that need to be shipped.
Tomorrow will be when the fun will begin……..sorting through the new goodies, styling, photographing, and getting listed in the shop!
And as a side note, I am new to this blogging adventure!
This is my first post and right now I’m not sure I am talking to anyone but myself! So bear with me while I navigate this blogging world. I will be tweaking as I go and as I learn.
I would love for you to follow our blog and our journey! And let us know how we are doing!
