I’ve been spreading my wings lately with a new venture!
I’ve been spreading my wings this week, my antique wings, that is!
My favorite thing to do in the entire world, is to go antiquing! Since I was a child, I’ve had a passion for finding treasure, which is what lead me to open my antiques business years ago.
For quite awhile I’ve wanted to expand my online antiques business by opening a small booth somewhere. I’m always finding fabulous pieces of furniture, swoon worthy statues, and heart stopping french chairs. But many times they are just too large, heavy, or bulky to ship in my online store.
I wanted a space that I could sell those gorgeous pieces that I’ve previously had to pass up, but finding the right place was important to me.
The ideal shop would not only be aesthetically beautiful, but would also carry unique products from highly curated vendors.
I found such a place at Antiques at the Loop in Mobile, AL.
Antiques at the Loop is a gorgeous store with a wide variety of beautiful items and distinctive collections.
I was so excited when I was accepted as a vendor in this delightful and charming store!
We moved a lot of items into our space on Tuesday, and then returned the next day to finish arranging pieces and hanging mirrors.
When we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see that many pieces had already sold!
As we were shifting things around to fill in some of the holes, the store owner offered us the opportunity to move to a different space that I felt was a better location. So we ended up moving the entire booth!
Here are a few pictures of the new space.
I’m still rearranging and tweaking, and I have more things to bring in.
There’s still a lot of blank spaces on the walls that I need to fill, but it’s finally all coming together!
I’ve had an online antiques shop for nine years and have loved every minute of it!
If you are one my customers, don’t worry, my online presence isn’t going anywhere. We have some plans in the works to actually grow our online business this year!
But if you’re ever in the Mobile, AL area, I hope you will have an opportunity to stop by Antiques at the Loop and see this beautiful store, and visit the E&E booth!
Who knows, maybe I will see you there!
If you see anything you like in the photos, you can call Antiques at the Loop at 251-476-0309, tell them what you’re interested in, and that it’s in the Edith & Evelyn booth. They will take care of you, and they can arrange shipping as well!
Today is French Country Friday!
I hope you will stick around and visit my friend’s homes to see what they are sharing this week!

Congratulations on the new booth. It’s beautiful!
I sure wished you were “spreading your wings” near me! You have such great taste in home decor! You will succeed in this shop and probably will have a hard time keeping booth full once people know you are there!! Show us readers your booth often….I doubt I will ever go but I can drool!
I was just in there last month. It’s a really nice shop. So glad to see you in my neck of the woods. I’m at the stage of life where I don’t buy much. I’m getting rid of stuff. But I sitll like to look! Congratulations.
Oh what a beautiful booth! Congratulations. Wished I lived closer…or maybe not. I think I would buy everything! Good luck to you and hubby. New adventures…so fun.
Love, love, love!! Congratulations!
Oh my!! Be still my heart!! You are far way from St. Louis, but I guarantee you’ll be restocking your space on a weekly basis. It’s a good thing I’m not closer – I’d have to rent a truck to get home! I’ve been following you for quite a long time and I can’t see anything I would leave behind. Best of luck – I predict a booming success for your business. Thank you for sharing this news with your readers. Mobile is now on my bucket list.
That is so exciting. You have the most gorgeous pieces only wish I lived closer so I could shop there. Excited to see future posts on your store.
Blessings, Candy
What a FABULOUS booth! You go, Girl!
I had a booth years back with 2 fun friends. We named it “Three French Hens.” Loved every minute of it but we had to close because of aging parents etc.
You will have a BLAST doing this and looks like you picked the right place. If your booth is popular (and it will be!!!) you will be well taken care of because it’s a win-win for everyone. Blessings on your coming ins and going outs. Duet 28:6
I love that your booth isn’t crammed full. This way you can see each beautiful item.
Congratulations Cindy. Good for you and us – a place to see you live! I am making a note to visit Antiques Loop, I hope I am fortunate enough to make it some day!
Seriously Cindy, who would not want you as a vendor? You are an awesome asset for anyone, but happy you found a quality place you are happy with! Kudos to hubby, i’m sure he was hands on moving that furniture and hanging those mirrors.
Love it! Good thing I don’t live closer. I’d be broke!
Good luck Cindy. So mad I live in the Midwest.
I love your new booth! If I lived closer I would be a customer!
I’m SO excited for you!!! I’ve always wanted my own store, now I can live vicariously through you! I’m in Maine, so not sure if I’ll ever get to you booth, but I’ll put it on my bucket list for sure. PLEASE give updates often through your blog for us that just can’t make the road trip! Congratulations!!! Selling your beautiful home and relocating is aligning all the stars for you!
