A Storied Farm Table Dressed for Autumn
We have a very special piece of furniture in our home, a storied piece, with lots of history.
It’s a century old farm table that once belonged to my grandparents. It probably doesn’t have much monetary value, but it’s priceless to me.
My grandparents, Mintie and Eli, purchased this oak farm table from a gentleman in his 80’s, when they married in 1901!
The gentleman told them that he had owned the table since he had gotten married, so by my calculations, it’s at least 150 years old.
Grandma and Grandpa were farmers and they raised their eleven children on this table until they were finally able to afford a new, more modern, table and chairs.
Then the old oak farm table was delegated to the smokehouse, to be used as a work table.
I always marvel at how they got all of those children around this table, squeezing them in to share a meal.
In the early ’70’s, my parents rescued the table from the smokehouse. It was in such sad condition and literally falling apart.
My mother and father worked many hours putting the table back together, sanding the old oak down to the raw wood, and then sealing it with coats of varnish.
Recently, I gave it another makeover by stripping it back to it’s raw wood, and then finishing it with coats of lime wax.
Growing up, this table was our main dining table.
I often heard the stories of how it was the table that my grandparents started “housekeeping” on, and how my parents rescued it and brought it back to life.
On holidays, our family would gather, and once again, we would all squeeze around this table to share a fabulous meal.
This old table has seen hundreds of Thanksgiving dinners, heard thousands of stories, held countless platters of fried chicken, and biscuits and gravy, and heard the laughter of many children and grandchildren. Oh how I wish it could talk!
I’m the third generation to have this old storied table grace our home, and someday it will pass on to the fourth.
Hopefully it will continue to evoke those precious memories for generations to come.
When it comes to an Autumn table, this old farm table makes the perfect setting.
It’s so simple to bring out heirloom dishes, a bit of greenery and lush velvet pumpkins in a variety of Fall colors.
I started with the centerpiece, by adding a magnolia leaf garland to the center of the farm table and then topped it with an antique plateau mirror that belonged to my mother.
The lush velvet pumpkins look fabulous piled on top of the table, with a few dried hydrangeas, and gilded pinecones tucked in here and there.
It’s all about layering.
There’s lots of contrast with the different textures in the burlap table runner, and the velvet of the pumpkins, against the old worn oak of the farm table.
Each place setting holds a small velvet pumpkin, making them a cherished little gift to send home with your guests at the end of the evening.
Though our old farm table is very simple, the tabletop decor can be gorgeous, and add total luxury to any setting.
Placing old ironstone, and pieces of my mothers Blue Willow at each place setting, brought back so many memories of all of the meals that his table has held.
I also used antique Fostoria stemware that belonged to my mother in law, Evelyn.
Autumn is about gatherings, family, laughter, and stories.
Our old heirloom farm table is the perfect place to share those memories.
Loved the pillow BE STILL and KNOW
where can I buy it???

We haven’t found a straight line, level surface or right angle in the place, but it’s going to be a beauty with lots of French details and a quirky personality. We love your work and it has quite an impact on what we do. Thanks for the opportunity to participate in your give away and Ill keep my fingers crossed!! LaDena

Everything you do comes together beautifully! I admire how you can take something that most people would throw away and apply “makeup” lol. I’m so in love with Plush Pumpkins but honestly can’t quite splurge on them so have made a few on my own, but mine pale in comparison to the originals. My absolute favorites would be the deep rich jewel tones!

Your table, Cindy, looked gorgeous! You are such an inspiration. Thank you
What a lovely story. I have my parents dining table that we gathered at every evening and holidays. And I often wonder how we all managed to squeeze in for dinner. I think this table is about 80 years old. Lots of memories.

What a heart warming story Cindy. I always look forward to your blog updates. My decorating style is so similar to your style. I really love the colors you chose for this Thanksgiving tablescape. It is very unique. I first say the Plush Pumpkins on your blog and fell in love with them. I have since then purchased a few for myself. I would choose the Pink Lemonade or the Berry colors. Thank you for creating such a beautiful blog.
Absolutely love the Spicy Citrus! However they are ALL beautiful! Great blog! I love to hear about items getting passed down. I am in possession of a 1969 Thunderbird that is my grandparents first brand new car! I’ve been offered lots of money so many times but I just can’t part with it. The money means nothing to me, it’s the memories and sentimental value. xoxo
This is my first comment ever. My goodness you’ve had quite a response. I love your blog. I watch for it every day. I just adored the side board you did in blue. It is just gorgeous!!! I’ve yet to try my first piece. I too have many heirlooms passed down through the family. Wouldn’t take anything for them. The pumpkins are darling. I love the blues, greens & pinks or burgundy. I like the Seaside colors. Thanks for the giveaway!
Cindy, I loved your sweet story about Mintie (love that name) & Eli’s table. I know you cherish it and the memories that were captured there. I have my mother’s oak farm table that her Daddy bought when she was born in early 1920’s. While it is not as old, it fills my heart with memories.
Thank you for the chance on the beautiful pumpkins from Plush Pumpkins. The colors are all gorgeous; picking my favorite color collection would be the Earth Collection because of the smoky topaz. Truly hard to choose as they are all yummy.
And yours look so beautiful on your table.
Your table and centerpiece are beautiful. Thank you for the opportunity to win these plush pumpkins. They are gorgeous. I like the Autumn colors–my whole house is done in fall colors.

I enjoyed your table’s story, i would like the berry collection
Cindy,
Love your story and love your table. The pumpkins on the plateau mirror is so pretty.
I would love the seaside collection.
Well, what a wonderful Thanksgiving story, Cindy!! I closed my eyes and could see the family sitting around the table enjoying all those conversations and celebrations through all 3 generations. Not only did it make me think of the “very old” oak table that I have inherited from my family, but made me so very thankful that I kept it and I’m sure, like your table, if it could talk would tell many interesting lost facts about the families that sat around them. The Plush Pumpkins only make your table more elegant than it already was!!! I would love to do the same to my family table with the collections of Forest, Mermaid, New Sage and Pomegranate. The acorns are that extra touch that makes me go AHHH when looking at these elegant beauties made by Plush Pumpkins.
I absolutely love the berry, pink lemonade, and earth collections!! They would look beautiful in a display on my dining room table for our Thanksgiving feast. I would enjoy sprinkling them around the house for years to come!
A lovely story about a beloved farm table with so much history behind it including 3 generations from your family. Loved your table decor and you are so right, those pumpkins and adorable acorns are simply gorgeous. I would go with autumn colors for sure. Thanks for the pure inspiration.
Thank you Cindy for sharing your refinishing process! I have a table with a story as well; makes it very special.
Wonderful to have a chance to win plush pumpkins. Should I be the lucky recipient I would choose berry. Michele
Wow…they offer so many beautiful colors! I would have to go with EARTH…they are so stunning!
What a lovely story about your table. I got a little lump in my throat reading it.
The velvet pumpkins are all soooo pretty, but I would go with the rosy hued one.
Cyndi your table and the setting is just lovely. I love the story about the Farm Table and I love your Mother’s plateau in the middle of the display. Plush Pumpkins are divine. If I were the lucky winner, I would select the Seaside Collection. So pretty and I could use them when it isn’t Fall.
What a beautiful tablescape. The velvet pumpkins make such a stunning statement to the entire table! I just love the Harvest colors for the pumpkins. I love deep, rich color for the Autumn! Thank you for such a generous giveaway opportunity!
Love your blog. Great ideas. Blue to go with my Blue Willow.
Your story truly touches my heart! Your heirloom is beautiful and the pumpkins as well.
How kind of you to give us all the opportunity of winning these beauties.
I lovePink Lemonade or Purple Rain.
Thank you so very much
; )
Karen
Thanks so much for this lovely story and a chance to win a Plush Pumpkin. Although I love the Sunset collection, I’d go with the Berry one for something different. Yummy.
Wow first of all, what a gorgeous table you have set with the pumpkins and the dinnerware. Its stunning Cindy! I loved hearing about your grandparents and the table and how it made its way to you after all those years and meals. I would love to win a set of pumpkins and emulate your table setting, so if I were lucky enough to win, I would pick Pebble. Or course I loved the other colors too, like Pink Lemonade and Seaside…
I love everything about this post and the chance to win a set of plush pumpkins is exciting!
My house is a blank canvas, as I’m slowly acquiring furniture and decor. What I have so far is very neutral so color from seasonal decor is much welcomed!
Shades of burgundy and green for fall would blend into what I have (so far) for winter so although it’s hard to choose I guess the Pink Lemonade collection with maybe the addition of Merlot and Forest (or any dark green) would be my pick.
**But honestly if I win I’m open to any suggestion/pick. I would be grateful to win ANY of the plush pumpkins -they are all lovely!
I love Plush Pumpkin’s Earth Collection. Those colors would be so versatile!
You have such a beautiful home! This is a fantastic tablescape on a very special table. I love all the colors and accessories you chose. The velvet pumpkins are wonderful and I love all their colors. I would probably choose the sunrise or autumn colors because it is Fall. Thanks for sharing your home with us. Susan
The spicy citrus collection would add a lovely punch of color to my fall table, with quite a contrast between the soft plushness of the fabric and the vivid colors of the pumpkins! Thanks for the sweet story and pics of your room! Lisa
Cindy, I love the idea of liming an old piece of oak furniture to get that lighter color. I am thinking of trying it on an antique empire tiger oak buffet that I just inherited from my mother-in-law. Your centerpiece with the pumpkins and magnolia garland is beautiful! If I win the giveaway, I would choose the seaside collection.
Love your blog! Love your table and it’s story. Your a real inspiration to me as I have an older golden oak table that I am longing to tackle! Love the pumpkins-all colors!
Love your home and the beautiful velvet pumpkins
My fav colors are the raspberrys, blues and the greens!!
Oh my goodness, I adore these! The Seaside collection blends so perfectly with the color palette in my living spaces…I’m dying for a set!
Pumpkin velvet heaven!! They are so cute. I love the Sunset colors, makes me think of the song from Fiddler on the Roof….
Sunrise Sunset
Sunrise Sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with Happiness and tears
Fall is my favorite season and love it every year when the pumpkins make their way into my home. I think your home is absolutely stunning!
Hi Cindy, What a wonderful story about the heritage of your table. It’s a treasure.
Thank you for the generous giveaway. I would choose the Seaside Velvet Collection of pumpkins for my table. Happy Holiday Season to come.
I love that the restored dining table has meant so much to your family. What a beautiful story. The centerpiece looks beautiful too. I have seen so many ideas using lavender and purple for autumn this year, so I would pick purple rain to try something new. Thank you for the chance to win.
What a lovely table setting! And what an exciting giveaway! On your recommendation, I bought my first velvet pumpkins this fall from Plush Pumpkins and they are delightful. I’m loving the Pink Lemonade collection. I’d pair them with my Blue Italian dishes.
The little acorns are adorable!! How creative! The story and look of this table are both beautiful. The pumpkin colors are STUNNING! My pick would be seaside, earth or pebble! Ha! Who can choose just one?! Seaside compliments my house best but really, such vibrant colors all around!
What a great history. Wish my parents held on to things like tables etc. They sold a lot of their things to antique dealers when they retired. I know, right? Anyway, your blogs are always beautifully filled with gorgeous settings. Thanks for sharing. I would choose the spicy citrus because it best fits my decor colors. Thanks for the give away. FUN!!
I am privileged to have a bedroom suite that traveled via ship around the Cape Horn from Denmark to San Francisco when my Great-Great Grandparents immigrated. I am the fourth first daughter to receive the bed and my daughter and little granddaughter love to hear its story and dream about how “The Bed” will one day grace their homes.
The giveaway is such a generous one! My choice would be the Great Harvest colors.
I love the story of your bed Jan! Good luck!
The story and the table are beautiful. The care you put into decorating is amazing and i love the plush pumpkins and what you do with them. I think the Autumn set is lovely.
Your table is gorgeous! Such wonderful family history that surrounds it with so much love & meaning. The beautiful pumpkins are a perfect centerpiece, a very lovely Thanksgiving inspiration for a very ” Grand Lady” from the past. Thank you for sharing. I,d chose the spicy citrus collection.
Love your entire eating area. One question … What did you do (what process did you use) to refinish the wood on the settee sitting at your grandparents old oak table?
I purchased a Victorian settee at an Estate sale and want to tone down the Victorian formality (lose the tufting and upholster in cream colored linen) and your finish is exactly what I have in mind. Thank you!
Please share the process you used to finish the wood on the settee in your kitchen dining area . Thank you .
Hi Michele! I used chalk paint and gave the wood a white wash, wiping back the excess, just leaving the white paint down in the nooks and crannies. Then I took gilding wax and highlighted some of the raised areas to bring out the detail. Hope that helps! Good luck!
One last question, actually 3.
Did you strip the stain from the wood before white washing?
Is gilding wax gold?
Are all of the above Annie Sloan products?
I apologize for all the questions but I love everything you do and believe if I follow your tutelage my settee will have a chance. Michele
Michele, I did not strip the stain from the wood before white washing. I used Annie Sloan chalk paint in Old White. The gilding wax is actually called Rub-N-Buff in color Gold Leaf, from Hobby Lobby! Let me know if you have any other questions!
Your home is gorgeous and I look forward to seeing your blog. Love the story of your special table. I would love the pink lemonade or berry plush velvet pumpkins.
Pat McGarrell
Your table scape is stunning. And the story behind your farm table is lovely. It is difficult to choose from such a beautiful array of velvet pumpkins, but I would choose the “Fall Gathering” group. Thanks for the giveaway and your interesting blog post.

I simply love your table setting, and I have everything in house to replicate this vignette except the Plush Pumpkin set. If I were lucky enough to win this wonderful prize, Seaside would be my choice for a warm and welcoming display. Thank you both for this smashing opportunity,
I have some items from my Grandma’s house, as well, that are really treasures to me – so many happy memories. The pumpkins are gorgeous and I really like the Harvest colors.
I loved hearing your story about your cherished table. I have several antique pieces that my girls are hoping come their way someday and I love the idea of passing these family pieces along. I love the plush pumpkins and think that the berry colors would be pretty with my Thanksgiving table.
Your table and the story behind it is wonderful. Enjoy your thanksgiving holiday as you gather around! I love the pebble collection.
I love the Sunrise, the colors are all beautiful. Seaside is almost as yummy! Thank you for the opportunity to win these gorgeous pumpkins.
These pumpkins are beautiful. I love the berry ones.
I love the storied table, the plateau mirror, and the pumpkins!
I love all of the pumpkin collections and those acorns, but for my home I would choose the Harvest or Spicy Citrus!
Your table is beautiful! I love how you decorated it for Fal! Those pumpkins are gorgeous!! I’d love a set from the Earth Collection! Thank you for the chance to win!
I love this post hearing the story about your family farm table! How special. It is indeed beautiful and landed in the right place with you who will cherish and take care of it. Your tablescape is delightful with your mother’s plateau and greenery with the gorgeous plush pumpkins.
What a generous giveaway. I love them all but I guess I would choose the berry.
The Fall Gathering is my choice of the velvet pumpkins; however, ALL the colors are absolutely stunning! I love the story behind the farmhouse table. You are blessed to have it in your home.
It’s a tough choice. But I think Seaside for the win. The acorns! So adorable. I’ve always loved your table. I also have my grandparent’s table. Not as much character, but lovely memories.
What a hard decision…all of the color groupings are stunning! I am going to pick ‘Pink Lemonade’ as the colors coordinate with most of my entertaining spaces. That being said…your table setting is amazing. I am going to dig out my plateau and get it onto my own oak kitchen table pronto. It is the table my husband and I purchased for our first home in 1986….it has since been painted and distressed with some white chalk paint. I never thought about the memories it holds until I read your post! oxoxo
Your table is absolutely beautiful and the pumpkins provide the perfect touch of glamour. I love your old table; you have inspired me to try to restore our old kitchen table that is made from pine. I love the seaside and the berry collection, but would be thrilled with any, as they are all beautiful!!
What great memories! I have a couple of pieces from grandparents that I cherish as well. Everything you do is fabulous. I look to your website to decorate my home. I do love the French Country look, I find its very calming. I cannot do a lot because I live in an apartment but I did paint the doors in
” pussywillow” and love the way they look.
I would choose the seaside pumpkins aso my accent color is teal.
God bless
Fall Gathering would have to be my choice of the velvet pumpkins. What gorgeous colors in ALL the selections. I love the story behind the farmhouse table. How blessed you are to have this in your home!
I love how you have put together everything in your decor and how well it goes with the pumpkins. The pebble collection is my favorite.
Beautiful table setting on a wonderful family treasured table. Love the Plush Pumpkin and I would chose the Sunrise collection.
What a gorgeous table and a beautiful heirloom! My heart skips a beat over the “Seaside”collection. Thank you for the opportunity.
What a great giveaway. I love the Earth collection.
Oh my goodness I would say Seaside, Earth or Pebble, in that order! They are so beautiful!!
I love the Fall Gathering collection, too.
I absolutely love your style !!! Everything you do is beautiful, and I look forward to every post, and to being further inspired. Love your table along with its history. I too, have some cherished pieces from grandparents on both my husband’s side and mine and they too will continue on with our children as well. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with all of us. Thanksgiving blessings to you and your family. I would choose the seaside color scheme for the velvet pumpkins because of that beautiful blue.
What a wonderful story. I too have cherished possessions from my parents, even grandmother and great-grandmother. They mean the world to me, and I wouldn’t trade them or the memories for anything! If you’re speaking of the pumpkins, I like the rusty colored ones the best!
I really like the sunrise collection. Perfect colors for my home.
Currently, I just love the spicy citrus combo! Although I think all the plush pumpkins are fantastic, that combo speaks to me at the moment! Love!
Hi Cindy, This is my first “comment”. Your blog is the most beautiful of those I read. Your home is absolutely elegant! The story of your table is similar to special objects in my own home. We are fortunate to have them! This post and pics of your dining table pumpkin arrangement is lush with beautiful color! Thank you for sharing your lovely home! I would choose the seaside pumpkin collection. Yvonne
I am always interested to see what new beauty you have created with your elegant and eclectic style… I love your attention to details and your appreciation of the history of pieces. Your table is always so lovely… and all the pumpkin colors are fabulous. I remember last year seeing your aqua collection on an off white chair with 1 orange one….Guess I would go with those as that display of yours made a lasting impression. Many thanks for your ongoing commitment to beauty on all levels.
Your beautiful table is so rich in family history – I loved reading about it. The pumpkins are the perfect topper and the colors are so yummy it’s hard to choose! I think I would go with the Pebble collection. Thank you for offering this giveaway. x o
Love the story of your table, thank you for sharing it. The pumpkins are beautiful I would probably go for the pink lemonade.
Blessings
Love all of your posts, your style really speaks to me. How wonderful to have your family farm table. The liming is beautiful! The velvet pumpkins are all beautiful but the seaside and lemonade collections are gorgeous!! Wishing you many happy celebrations around your treasured table!
Cindy, love the story of your table, and also love your blog which is one of my very favorites!!! These velvet pumpkins are very beautiful, and I would choose the Spicy Citrus should I be so fortunate to win. Louise

Love your site. Every time I see your name in my inbox it makes me feel like a friend has dropped by. All the pumpkins are amazing but if I had to choose it would be Autum or Seaside.
I love the story of your farm table just as much as the table. I too love to know the history of a piece. Love the velvet pumpkins too. I love the Harvest collection.
I love these pumpkins!! They are so beautiful. I would choose the seaside collection. Thanks for the opportunity.
Wow. So hard to choose just 1 fav color collection. Since it’s fall i guessi will go with autumn. Your home is lovely and i love how you displayed your pumpkins
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and touching story! Those pumpkins just pop on your table, I would love to have some in my home also!
Love all of the pumpkin colors but I think the Harvest pumpkins are my favorite!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!
Your table is gorgeous!! I love the story behind it as well and the decor you added is so pretty. Those pumpkins add so much texture and whimsy to the table. If I was lucky enough to win I would love the pebble pumpkin collection to add to my home.
What a wonderful story, Cindy! I love the history of old, cherished things, and your farm table certainly has a lovely pedigree! The fall tableau you arranged on top is simply gorgeous, the colors of the dinnerware and velvet pumpkins blending beautifully! I love it that your family has so many happy memories of sharing meals around this old oak table. The plush pumpkins are exquisite, and were I to be lucky enough to win, I would choose the Great Harvest colors. Thank you for sharing this great story with all of us, Cindy!
Beautiful table and beautiful display. My favorite things in my home are certainly the oldest, where you can only imagine where they have been. I have admired this pumpkins for a long time, and would love to own a set. If I were to choose, as hard as it is to decide, would be The Great Harvest. I love the classic colors of fall.
Oh my, this is the hardest decision , I think I would go with Berry. And then I would have to have some of those lovely soft blue pumpkins to finish it off. Your table is so perfectly beautiful.
The history of your lovely table is a wonderful story! I have my grandparent’s beautiful old bed & it is a treasure to me, just like your table is to you.
Your tablescape with those gorgeous velvet pumpkins is awesome. I would choose the Seaside collection. With a move north looming, the Seaside collection would always remind me of our time living here on the Georgia coast.
Oh Cindy, I love the beautiful table, what you have done with it and it’s story. I would love the blue velvet pumpkins! Thank you for your blog.
The freshness of the “Seaside” color collection really appeals to me. I could see using these gorgeous velvet pumpkins to style and photograph my jewelry from my Etsy store “Atelier Paris”. They have a soft romanticism that would complement my vintage style assemblage jewelry ….love them!
Wow, thank you and Plush Pumpkin for giving your readers the opportunity to have such a generous assortment of these beautiful pumpkins. If I must choose one color it will have to be Sunrise. They absolutely glow. I love following you and really enjoy seeing your lovely home.
I look forward to seeing it decorated for Christmas. Happy holidays.
Memories and beauty all in one post! I’m so excited to have recently found you blog! I would pick pink lemonade for a pop of color but I love them all.
What a lovely centerpiece!! I choose the Seaside set. Thanks so much for the chance to win! Love your blog!!
What a lovely table decoration and so enjoyed the story of your table. I would choose the seaside collection.
I love velvet pumpkins! I think I would choose Harvest or Seaside. I love the traditional but my home is in the Seaside colors!
I too value my things handed down to me. My son is always hearing “you have to keep this and hand it down” If I win, I would chose Harvest pumpkins in gold, green, brown. I like traditional colors!!
What a beautiful post! The photographs are stunning – as are all the color collections. I would choose Seaside!
Such a lovely giveaway! My Moma and Daddy are coming to my house (1000 miles away!) for Thanksgiving this year. I am using what was their wedding china for my table setting as a surprise to them. It is blue, silver, and white, So I’m thinking the Earth Classic Velvet Collection would be the loveliest match. Or even the Pebble. Wonderful collections! Thank you for hosting this giveaway!
Gorgeous table setting! I would have a hard time choosing between Earth and Pebble.
Cindy, the story of your table is lovely and makes me happy to hear that there are others who still value family. There is nothing better in my opinion than furniture with family history. I would love any of the pumpkins especially the lighter seaside ones. Thank you for the opportunity and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I am in love with these pumpkins! The acorns are adorable. Choosing a color is almost impossilbe, I love them all. However Sassy, Great Harvest and Pink Lemonage would be on the top of my list. Thanks for the opportunity
Love your style and blog! I’d choose “Seaside” if I win!
Love your table and tablescape. Love the spicy citrus and sunrise pumpkins
Love your table, and all it means to you. The pumpkins are perfect, and I adore the acorns! I would choose the Great Harvest.
I absolutely love your blog and your fantastic taste in décor. I love the pink pumpkins but would be happy with any of them. I also love the floor design upon which the table sets. Is it a carpet or inlaid brick?
Hi Linda! The floor is inlaid brick! Good luck!
I love when families share traditions, and I love when you use your velvet pumpkins. I have been helping my daughter-in-law slowly collect decorations for fall as it is her favorite time of year. The sunrise collection would be a cherished decoration in her home for many years. I would chose the sunrise collection.
Thanks Cindy for sharing your story!
Nancy
What a great family heirloom you have with that table! I absolutely love stories like that! While my table is not a family heirloom it is old. The man I bought it from said that as a kid they’d shared lots of good meals together at it. I have a large grapevine cornucopia that I have on my table which either the sassy or the seaside would look amazing spilling out of it. I absolutely love your blog and your FB posts. I hope someday you write a book
Sunrise is beautiful!! Thank you for the chance to share these amongst some family heirlooms of my own!
What a great story 🙂 memories are precious! I would pick the pink set I think as it would blend with my French and Victorian decor!
Discovered your blog not long ago. Enjoyed reading about the history behind the name “Edith and Evelyn”. Love your style of decorating. I liked “Earth” and “Seaside” but hard not to choose the beautiful blue in “Seaside”.
Love them all! I would pick the Harvest for the centerpiece. Thank you for this opportunity!
So beautiful! And thank you, Plush Pumpkin, for the chance to win. 🙂 They are all so pretty…although ‘The Great Harvest’ collection is my favorite. Good luck everyone!
This is a generous offer. If selected, I would choose the fall gathering collection–and then I would add to it later so I could enjoy all the colors! I, too, have my grandparents’ table. It, too, is in need of a makeover. Perhaps I will now be inspired, but after the holidays. Thanks.
So charming from the brick floor to the velvet pumpkins. The history is the icing on the cake….. spicy citrus is my choice of velvet pumpkins!! Thanks for a great blog…
Love the table story! I would love the Great Harvest collection. They are all beautiful!
Lovely article Cindy…love your table and it’s story!
It’s difficult to choose just one color. I’m loving purple rain, pebble, and rebel!
What a great story table. I would pick the wild violet pumpkins.
I’m loving the history there. So many times it feels lost on the following generations. Well done! If I won, I’d choose sunrise. Thank you, and blessings, Chris
How fortunate you are to now be the stewards of such a lovely table. Combined with the family dishes, the leaves and the richness of the velvet, it truly is a stunning look. I’ve had a fascination with velvet and absolutely love the pumpkins! If I were to win, I would choose the Autumn collection. Thank you for sharing!
Love the story of your table! I have a claw-foot oak table with a long history too. When it’s opened for the leaf insert, there’s a label with a 1908 date. Someone gave the table to my uncle in the early 40’s and he gave it to my parents as they were beginning to set up housekeeping because my Daddy had just returned from World War II. My Mama painted the table a mint green that was popular at the time. When my sister married in the 60’s, Mama gave it to them and thankfully my brother-in-law stripped it back to it’s original wood. And finally, when my husband and I built our home in the 80’s, my sister gave it to me and it now lives in my kitchen and we eat around that table everyday. Wouldn’t trade it for the fanciest table in the world!
Love all the pumpkins but the seaside ones are my favorite!
What a wonderful story Robin! Good luck!
What a beautiful story. I can’t imagine the feeling you have when you sit at the table and feel as if the table is actually talking to you….telling the stories of the generations of family that sat around the table. It is as if the table is alive with their heart and souls. A most treasured part of your family’s history that will live on for generations to come. You always honor your family treasure by creating such gorgeous tablescapes and centerpieces…..Great giveaway….love Plush Pumpkins and I would definitely chose the Pebble collection…
Oh I absolutely love the coral & pink pumpkins so I would probably pick Sassy or Pink Lemonade! Have a blessed Thanksgiving & thank you so much for your lovely ideas!
I love them all, but my decorations for the fall really lend themselves to the Harvest colors so that would be my choice. I love, love these velvet pumpkins and have a couple already, but you can really never have too many. Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for sharing your story.
I have a very old harvest table in need of refinishing. With your inspiration and the pink lemonade collection, I believe we will have a memories table in our home as well.
Simply beautiful! I would choose the “Pebble ” collection . Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.
Your home is so lovely, and the table is priceless. As for the beautiful pumpkins, I would choose either the Lemonade or the Sunrise – they are all so pretty!
What a beautiful table and wonderful history. You are so lucky to have that piece to use and then pass on to your family. If I would win, it would have to be the harvest collection. Simply beautiful colors. Diana
What a nice post about your special table. I love all the collections but my favorite is “seaside”.
Thank you for this wonderful giveaway! I would love to have the Harvest Collection on my family table. They are truly beautiful!
What a great legacy that a humble table has brought so many together. I love the velvet pumpkins. I would choose between the Earth or Harvest colors…beautiful!
Love the colors in the spicy citrus collection. What a treasure you have in that table. I call them memory pieces and they add so much to one’s home.
Thanks for sharing your special stories and memories of your family. Your farm table is stunning I would be great full to win either set of Plush Pumpkins they also are stunning and look fabulous in your centerpiece. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family…
Beautiful table setting. I would choose the sunrise collection.
They are gorgeous! And so is your table. I would choose The Great Harvest … or Sunrise. Although Seaside would look great in our church decor. So many choices-I would love any of them!
I’m smitten with the Pink Lemonade collection. I love your farm table and the history behind it. You are very fortunate to still have it in your family.
Happy Thanksgiving
Your table is beautiful, as are the memories it holds. I like the earth colors!
Love the story of the the old family table. Makes meal time all the more memorable and important.
Love the pumpkins and adore the little acorns. My fav colors are the sea foam, pale greens, pale blues. Of course white and grey are always great neutrals.
Beautiful beautiful! The pumpkins I’ve chosen are the seaside.
You have a beautiful fall table!
Evelyn P.
.
I have more than one favorite, but perhaps Seaside is my very favorite.
Your story is precious! I feel you are so lucky & blessed to have such special memories w/ grand parents! My selection would be SUNRISE.
It’s so precious to have family pieces. Your table is lovely.
Gorgeous table, wonderful story, great giveaway. Everything you do is always beautiful and this is no exception…the pumpkins are so beautiful. I would choose the harvest collection if chosen. I hope you and your family have a blessed Thanksgiving.
I love this story about your family table. And your table setting is beautiful. All of the velvet pumpkins are gorgeous but I like the Autumn collection
I love your blog! Thanks for the beautiful story and lovely table pics.
I would choose sunrise.
Your table is a true inspiration. I always look forward to your stories, projects and decorating ideas. I have been collecting pumpkins for 36 years, to say I am obsessed would be putting it mildly. If I were lucky enough to win I would select the Autumn collection. Wishing you and your family a wondering holiday season.
So hard to choose with so many beautiful choices. My choice is Seasise. Your table is beautiful!
Harvest is my favorite velvet pumpkin color.
Love, love, love the silver napkin rings (source?)
Hi Natasha! I actually found the napkin rings at an estate sale, however I think they are originally from Pier 1 Imports. Good Luck!
What beautiful memories you have, I am very jealous. I come from a family of seven and most things just didn’t survive. We just downsized and I told my children they had to take things. Hopefully they will start passing things along. I think I would love the Autumn set, since fall is my most favorite time of the year.
All of the colors are beautiful but I love the seaside and sunrise collection. The pebble and purple rain are pretty spectacular also!
A lovely story Cindy! I love the berry collection. Thank you for your inspiration.
I love the Great Harvest collection – those acorns are just adorable!! Love, love your table’s history.
So hard to choose, but I pick Berry!
Your home is always so lovely and it’s wonderful that you treasure your family’s beloved things, too. That adds so much history to all you do. Imagine the stories shared around that table! I love the Earth collection, although your pretty red and pink tones appeal to me also. So many lovely colors, you can’t go wrong with any of them!
Oh my , I have cherished 8ft oak farmhouse table from late 1800’s that will also be passed to next generation one day
I love all velvet pumpkins but I think the turquoise and soft colors is what I would choose
I like the “Spicy Citrus” collection. Beautiful vibrant, fall colors!
I love the pebble collection and thanks for sharing the story of your family heirloom
I would love the berry please! You table setting is beautiful!!
o my! what a lovely post with sweet sentiment to match! love your blog and your home. it is one of the few i allow to come straight to my “must read email.” part of that, i’m sure, is because my grandmother’s name was Edith and my grandfather was Ely. beautiful names that always make my heart full. i adore the Berry Collection. thanks so much for the opportunity and the fun!
Oh my goodness. What stories your precious table could tell and how lucky you are to have a piece that evokes such wonderful memories.
Although I love all the beautiful colors available, I like the Pink Lemonade collection best. I find myself opting for softer, more muted colors this year. Thank you and Plush Pumpkins for the opportunity.
The pumpkins are beautiful. I like the colors that are featured on your table. It looks lovely!
Beautiful as always sweet Cindy! I love the Harvest and the Seaside, but any would be a blessing! Thank you and have a great week!
“Seaside”would be the perfect addition to my Thanksgiving table. We live on a river and the inside of our home is painted with many blue grey colors!
I love this. I would want the sunrise collection
Cindy, I love the story behind your table – those are the best memories!! You’re lucky to have ended up with it. The pumpkins are lovely and I would choose the ‘earth’ collection.
Thanks for the chance to win!
Celia
Love your home and hearing the history of your table. I’d choose the Sunrise pumpkin collection.
Cindy – your fall table setting is stunning – I love all of the colors, but am particularly drawn to the mauve and burgundy pumpkins!
Oh decisions, decisions! I would probably like to have the Seaside set because those colors are harder to find in pumpkins.
Love your tablescape, your table, your beautiful floors, the beautiful room too! Heck, I love it all! What time is Thanksgiving dinner?
I love them all, especially the Wild Violets collection. Your table and decor… simply delicious! It’s wonderful that you are preserving family memories and history. Happy Thanksgiving.
So very hard to choose, I want every one of them but choose I must so THE GREAT HARVEST
would be my choice. Thank you for such a lovely post. I too have my grandparents farm table,
just like yours and just like you I treasure that table.
Cindy,
Your table is gorgeous, a step away from the traditional colours and a breath of fresh air!!
The memories a piece of furniture can bring to mind is awesome isn’t it. I love that you’re the family historian and keeping the past alive for your family.
Deborah
What a lovely, timely giveaway! I would choose Autumn or Harvest but the truth is I love them all! Gorgeous.
Seaside is just beautiful smooth, soft, and elegant.
They are all so unique and a wonderful selection for any table, but I love the Great Harvest. I love your display ! 🙂 Kathy
I love your table! While your pumpkins are gorgeous, I believe the “Great Harvest” collection would suit me! Thanks!!
Wow, I have several round mirrors. I am sure one of them would be suitable to use on my table with these lovely pumpkins if I was so lucky as to be the winner…….. I wait with a heart beating most near to bursting to hear who wins this fabulous gift <3 <3
I love to decorate in neutrals but your beautiful table inspired me to choose the Berry Collection. But it took me forever to decide since they are all so pretty!
The plush pumpkins are so beautiful it’s hard to pick one collection. But with my bedroom, I’d have to say PINK LEMONADE!
What pretty pumpkins and those colors! I love them all but if I had to chose it would be Berry or Pink Lemonade I think?
I would pick the Autumn Collection to grace my Mom’s buffet. I have her buffet in my dining room. It was my parent’s first anniversary gift to each other in 1937. She served many Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners with that buffet as the holding place for a bounty of food. I had it refinished 10 years ago and the memories come alive each holiday as I decorate it. The pumpkins would look amazing as a beautiful focal point on my Mom’s buffet. Blessings to you and yours, Denice
What a beautiful memory Denice! Good Luck!
Love your story and the history of your family table. I would love to win the pumkins and I too like the seaside collection as an adder. Blessings to you and your families during the upcoming holidays spent at your table.
Thank you Mary!
I would choose the seaside collection. Beautiful!
They are all beautiful but my choice is sunrise!
I would choose the Sunrise Collection. These are adorable. Have a wonderful day.
Beautiful table centerpiece! I would choose the Berry collection.
Seaside!
I would like to win the fall harvest all the colors are beautiful. Love the story about your parents table. I always love reading about your home.
Thank you Gloria, and good luck!
Dear Evelyn,
I loved, loved your story about the old farm table, your grandparents, parents and the stories of your family’s past. The table and the Plush Pumpkins setting is not only exquisite but so heart-warming one just wants to sit right down at the table and be a part of it all! I also have an old farm table. I bought it from a local antique dealer who created it from rescued barn wood. She offered to “clean up” the surface but I said no that I wanted all it’s history to be seen, worm holes and all! I would create a gorgeous Plush Pumpkins setting similar to yours and also try to incorporate a setting of white & gold ceramic tea pot, sugar bowl and cream pitcher that once belonged to my great, great grandmother. There are two plates and compote that were saved from the set as well. I have a silver tray that belonged to my mother that I would use to display the special Plush Pumpkins. My color choice would be the fall colors shown in the last photo of the segment as they would contrast beautifully with the tray and ceramics. I thank you for sharing your wonderful story and a big thank you to the folks at Plush Pumpkins for such an exciting giveaway!
Beautiful table Cindy! I would choose the “Sunrise” collection because my farmhouse table is facing the sunrise each glorious day. The pumpkins are so beautiful and all the colors so rich.
Although the pumpkins are all beautiful I am drawn to the Seaside collection. There is something about the sea that always brings me peace. We also have solid oak furniture that just doesn’t fit into our downsized ranch. We live in the country and it looked okay in the kitchen there. In our dining room it just looks too Early American, which I’m not fond of — especially the chairs. I’d love to lighten it up and get new chairs. Could I just use white wax to get that lighter look? I love your dining room table and it looks a lot like mine (not as old).
Hi Marissa, the liming wax works great on raw wood because it will get down into the grain of the wood. It doesn’t work very well on wood that still has paint, stain, or varnish on it. If you can sand the chairs down to the raw wood, then yes, I think the liming wax would work for you. Good luck!
Thank you Cindy! The fall gathering sounds just about perfect to me. Your table is just lovely and the history behind it is so special!
Pink, blue, green and white
Your tablescape is the best I have seen on line this season!!
I would choose Seaside!! They are gorgeous! I love your table. What a wonderful piece. Just thinking of all the conversations it has heard touches my heart.
Your table is fabulous! What a beautiful table setting for such a treasured part of your history! I would love the berry pumpkins that look so rich!
What a great way to start the day with this story! I really love the earth collection colors. I’m painting my living room today and even if it turns out bad no one would notice the color with these on my table! 😉
Cindy, Could you tell me more about the lime wax you used? I have not heard of it but love the look of the table. Thanks.
Hi Margaret! The lime wax that I used is from Amy Howard Home, which can be found at Ace Hardware. It works best on raw wood so that it can sink into the grain of the wood. Hope that helps! Thanks for commenting!
The table is lovley! You have a wonderful piece of family history. The pumpkins add beautiful elegant fall colors.
I love the gold, green and orange pumpkins in your give away.
Oh my word! How does one narrow it down? They are all gorgeous! I would probably go with Autumn though—or Seaside . See, I told you I couldn’t narrow it! What a great give-away. Thank you! Lori Lucas
I love the “Autumn collection”. The real stems just make the pumpkins! Love them!
Your table is beautiful dear Cindy but I especially love the background story of it. What wonderful memories you have and continue to make around this beauty! I love it! And thank you for giving us the opportunity to participate in such a lovely contest but I guess that you are just staying true to your generous nature. I absolutely am in love with the berry collection … those beautiful hues of dusty pink and deep berry are simply gorgeous!. Now … my only problem is I’m not sure where we are supposed to enter and leave our color preference for this lovely contest … here or on your Facebook page? Just to be sure, I will do it on both lol. Thank you again, dear Cindy and I wish you and yours a ton more memories around that very special table. xxx
Thank you sweet Lindy Lou! Good luck!
I love the look…and enjoy any of them; Spicy Citrus looks wonderful. I am now going thru my house and identifying (repairing) and marking any family antiques for my girls. Never know and don’t want to put it off in case something happened earlier than expected to me; or I might “forget” things and my girls would be clueless.
You know, it’s so nice to see something that has travelled through time and is still looking good and also very loved, if only it could talk…..the tales it could tell….I love to read your posts and see your gorgeous home…thanks for sharing..x
i love these velvet pumpkins!!! I would choose the more neutral colored collection
Thank you!
I absolutely love your tablescape…..it is simply charming. I personally love the Autumn Collection of Plush Pumpkin. I have a home with terra-cotta colored floor tiles, and I think these colors would look lovely on my table. I have a passed down wooden dough bowl which I think would gives these velvet pumpkins a lovely home!!!
Your table looks beautiful. the velvet pumpkin centerpiece is lovely. My favorite collection is autumn
Wow! I loved the story of your farm table, and the addition of the colorful pumpkins made it even more enjoyable. I would choose the color collection “sunrise”, and maybe add the “seaside”, too. I really liked the combination in your post, and it’s hard to choose just one! Thank you!
Love every thing I see on your blog. I love the sunrise pumpkin collection. Gayle.breeden@maslandhospitality.com
I loved your use of the plateau…very clever and an idea I will have to emulate! And I love the colors of the “pink” pumpkins!
Melissa
Love, love, LOVE these velvet pumpkins! I would choose the “Pebble” collection for my holiday decorating. Thank you for the opportunity to enter this drawing.
Greetings Cindy! What wonderful memories you’ve shared, I adore your sentiment and gorgeous table setting!! If I were to win, I would love the “Earth” collection…it’s so hard to choose as they’re all stunning but I think that would be my favorite! Thank you for the opportunity!

I love those pumpkins and really, really love the little acorns. I like the rusty colored ones the best.
Cindy~ your family’s story of life & memories shared around this table remind me of my parent’s table! The tables have held so much more than plates, silverware & food over the years. They have held the love, laughter, tears & hearts of many generations! Thank you for sharing! The Pink Lemonade Plush Pumpkins are stunning ~ & my choice! Although… their entire collection is wonderful. Love your blog!!

I am inspired now to get busy and sand down my oak table and use the lime wax on it, It would look good with my limestone fireplace. The rust colored pumpkins are my favorite as they would be a perfect complement in my home.
I would love to have the SEASIDE if it was my choice. They are all beautiful, but they fit my style the best! I hope you are having an awesome Autumn so far Cindy. We love you, Ava
