This sweet estate sale find is finally finished after four coats of paint, glazed patina, two coats of wax, and gilded accents! I’m in love with her! See the process in previous reels!

Final step: Use Rub-n-Buff Gold Leaf to highlight

Final step: Use Rub-n-Buff Gold Leaf to highlight carved accents, knobs, and ormolu. Buff with a soft cloth when dry.

This gorgeous antique demilune French style cabinet came from my favorite monthly estate sale @oldemobileantiquesgallery in Mobile, AL!

In this makeover, I’ve used my favorite paint from @pureoriginalusa_can in colors Steel Blue, Poetic Blue, and Sea Salt! Added the patina with homemade glaze, and two coats of Italian Wax. Final step is gilding the gorgeous details! Stay tuned for the final reveal!

Fun Fact: after removing the ormolu fir cleaning, I discovered that the back was en graves with “P.E. Guerin, NY.” P.E. Guerin is the oldest decorative hardware firm in the United States, and the only metal foundry in New York City. The company was started in 1857 by French immigrant Pierre Emmanuel Guerin and has been at its current location on Jane Street in Greenwich Village since 1892.

Also, this cabinet has two hidden drawers that I discovered while cleaning!

Sometimes the easiest furniture makeover can be made by using an old grain sack and a stencil to create your own design. Which is what I did for the makeover of this vintage French chair that I had been storing in the attic. There really wasn't anything wrong with the chair, but I wanted to put my own spin on it, and stenciling is an ideal way to do that!

August is always the month that I start yearning f

August is always the month that I start yearning for cooler temperatures and thinking about Fall decorating.

The heat this Summer has been really intense, and quite honestly, I'm over it!

I've been thinking of a few ideas for decorating with pumpkins for this Fall season, and pulling out my Fall decor stash, which includes these fabulous moss covered pumpkins that I made a few years ago.

They have held up so well and I use them every year. They are perfect for adding fabulous texture to a vignette or tablescape, especially when mixed with other pumpkins!
