A look back at the trees of Christmas past!
This week I have enjoyed looking back at our trees of past Christmases, and I’ve loved seeing them all decorated in their different settings, so I thought you might enjoy visiting our trees of Christmas past as well!
One of my favorite Christmas trees was the salvaged tree in our Master bedroom. We were in the thick of renovating our home at the time and had found a neglected vintage tree in the attic, left behind by the previous owners. I had never decorated a tree for our bedroom before so I took this as the perfect opportunity to do so!
I wanted a snowy tree for the bedroom, so I attempted to flock it myself!

A Touch of Christmas in the Master Bedroom

I loved decorating the master bedroom for Christmas so much, that the following year, I decided to do it again using the same salvaged tree. This time, I added dried hydrangeas and more greenery with twinkly lights.
Our bedroom at the time was so nice and large and the perfect room to showcase a beautiful tree!
The Master Bedroom Dressed for Christmas

In 2017, I wanted a simple holiday vignette in the foyer, and wanted to use just what I had on hand or in storage. I ended up using a grapevine tree for a base and covered it in dried hydrangeas. It was beautiful!
The soft hues of the hydrangeas were a perfect color for that year’s theme.

One of my very favorite trees of Christmas past is this one! There was something magical about this tree and the surrounding decor!
It had a whimsical Old World theme. I can remember sitting in the living room at night savoring a cup of hot chocolate, and enjoying the magical twinkling lights on the tree. Oh, how I loved this tree!

The mannequin tree came about because our home was under full on renovation. The only room in the house that was finished was the kitchen and breakfast room, so I got creative and used one of my antique dress forms as a Christmas tree!
It was really easy to make and it got lots of attention during the holidays!

In 2018, I decorated the bedroom again with another tree, this time using colors of red and gold. I love decorating our bedroom with a Christmas tree, it brings such beauty into the room during the holidays.
Another Master Bedroom Christmas Tree

I love looking back at this tree….it was a beauty! I’ve always had a love for flocked trees and this one was so pretty, decorated in turquoise and gold, standing in a beautiful urn, and standing sentry in our large foyer.
I still have this tree and I definitely think it will be brought out again next year!
I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas

Our family room Christmas was a very nostalgic year, with me having fond memories of my childhood Christmases. The tree was filled with ornaments and bird nests in honor of my mother’s traditions.

Christmas 2020 saw us in a new home in Fairhope, Alabama. We began our new life in Fairhope leasing a home until we could decide what neighborhood we wanted to buy in. Decorating a temporary home was a challenge, but in the end I loved how our living room looked all decorated for the holiday.

Our 2021 Christmas tree was displayed in a DIY Chinoiserie Christmas tree box which was so easy to make! It got lots of attention and thousands of pins on Pinterest.

This year’s Christmas tree was very simple in decor….just ornaments, white lights, and ribbons. It stood in a fabulous DIY urn, a knockoff to the Ballard Designs Christmas tree urn. It was simple to make and it will last for years!
