Vacation, An Engagement, and French Country Fridays!
As I write this post, hubby and I are on the Gulf Coast for a long awaited vacation. I can’t tell you how
many years it’s been since we’ve taken a week’s vacation, and it has been wonderful!
We’ve spent the last few days sitting on the beach, reading, taking naps, and eating lots of good
seafood! Hubby and I haven’t laughed this much in a long time.
Our middle son and his very special lady joined us on the trip and, to our complete delight, they
became engaged a few nights ago! It’s a memory we won’t soon forget, and we are so happy because
we absolutely adore our future daughter in law! We are very blessed!
We only have a couple of more days in paradise and then it’s time to head back to reality. Having this
down time has been wonderful and so refreshing. We needed our batteries re-charged and this trip
has accomplished it, and also served to remind us that life is short….so take the vacation!!
Today is Friday, and that means it’s time for French Country Friday!
